We're seeking an experienced Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our engineering team and drive end-to-end development of our vehicle inspection platform. As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at Pave.ai, you'll architect scalable backend services while crafting responsive, intuitive user interfaces that deliver exceptional experiences. You'll work across the entire technology stack to build features that process millions of vehicle inspections, from designing APIs and data models to implementing pixel-perfect UIs that delight dealerships, fleet operators, insurers, and vehicle marketplaces globally.
 

Key Responsibilities

Full-Stack Development

• Design and implement complete features from database to UI, ensuring seamless integration across all layers
• Build scalable backend services and create responsive frontend applications with modern JavaScript frameworks
• Architect RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints that power web applications
• Implement real-time features using WebSockets for live vehicle inspection updates
• Ensure consistent user experience across different platforms and devices

Frontend Excellence

• Collaborate closely with UI/UX teams to translate high-fidelity designs into pixel-perfect, maintainable code
• Build reusable component libraries using React.js with TypeScript, ensuring framework-agnostic design principles
• Leverage Tailwind CSS and modern CSS methodologies for consistent, performant styling
• Implement and maintain component documentation using Storybook
• Optimize frontend performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth interactions
• Ensure WCAG compliance and accessibility standards across all user interfaces

Backend Architecture

• Design and develop scalable backend services using modern server-side technologies
• Build robust data pipelines for processing vehicle inspection images and metadata
• Implement event-driven architectures using message queuing systems
• Design efficient database schemas and optimize queries for both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Integrate AI/ML models for computer vision and automated inspection analysis
• Ensure API security, rate limiting, and proper authentication/authorization

Technical Leadership

• Lead architectural decisions spanning frontend and backend systems
• Mentor junior developers on full-stack best practices and code quality
• Conduct thorough code reviews across the entire technology stack
• Drive technical documentation and knowledge sharing initiatives
• Collaborate with product owners to define technical requirements and feasibility
• Champion engineering excellence and establish coding standards

DevOps & Quality Assurance

• Implement comprehensive testing strategies including unit, integration, and E2E tests
• Set up CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Monitor application performance and implement observability solutions
• Ensure high availability and fault tolerance across all services
• Implement security best practices throughout the stack

Experience

• 5+ years of fullstack development experience
• 3+ years of backend development in production environments
• 3+ years of modern frontend framework experience (React, Vue, or Angular)
• Proven track record of delivering complex features end-to-end
• Experience with B2B SaaS platforms and enterprise applications

Technical Skills

Backend Proficiency:

• Strong expertise in at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, Go, C#, PHP)
• RESTful API design and GraphQL implementation
• Microservices architecture and distributed systems
• SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases
• Message queuing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
• Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of cloud services and serverless architectures

Frontend Mastery:

• Expert-level JavaScript/TypeScript skills
• Proficiency in React.js (hooks, context, state management)
• HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
• CSS frameworks (Tailwind CSS preferred, or Sass/LESS)
• Component-based architecture and design systems
• Frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite) and testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress)
• Web performance optimization and debugging
• Experience with Storybook or similar component documentation tools

Full-Stack Skills:

• WebSocket implementation for real-time features
• Authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT)
• API integration and third-party service integration
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Git version control and collaborative workflows
• Understanding of web security principles (OWASP)
• Experience with both monolithic and microservices architectures

• Experience with Laravel or other MVC frameworks
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Knowledge of mobile app development (React Native or Flutter)
• Understanding of design systems and atomic design principles
• Experience with real-time collaboration features
• Background in building multi-tenant architectures
• DevOps experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience with GraphQL server implementation
