As the most senior Shopify Developer at Digital Outlook, you will spearhead the development of Shopify e-commerce platforms, setting standards for quality and innovation. This pivotal role requires a professional who can recommend the best solutions based on best practice development and the latest feature releases from Shopify. 

Additionally, you will play a crucial role in building a dedicated Shopify development team around you, shaping the team's structure and driving its growth. This will involve recruiting, training, and leading new team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Project Execution and Development:

• Develop, customise, and manage Shopify websites, ensuring they meet client specifications and industry best practices.
• Implement and modify themes and make custom changes to existing Shopify sites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in collaboration with the team to maintain and improve website functionality and performance.
• Knowledge of third-party integrations and APIs to enhance site functionality.

Quality Assurance:

• Perform code reviews and maintain high-quality development standards.
• Conduct performance tests to ensure that the sites operate efficiently under all conditions.
• Document all phases of the development process, ensuring that the final product adheres to the predefined specifications and quality metrics.

Stakeholder Management:

• Translate client business needs into actionable development tasks and communicate these needs clearly to the development team.
• Maintain regular communication with internal teams to provide updates and gather feedback on project progress.

Team Development and Training:

• Share knowledge and mentor less experienced team members in Shopify development practices.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and Shopify updates to lead team training sessions and enhance project outcomes.  Eg. Summer and Winter releases.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience in technical development with Shopify and related technologies.
• Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify Liquid.
• Strong experience with the Shopify and Shopify Plus platforms.
• Knowledge of third-party integrations and APIs such as Vue.js, Next.js, Node.js, Shopify API, and GraphQL is highly valued. While not essential, these skills will significantly enhance site functionality and are considered a strong advantage.
• Experience with Git (Bitbucket) and JIRA.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.

• Development and delivery of Shopify projects within the agreed timelines and budgets.
• High-quality standards in deliverables with minimal post-launch issues.
• Positive feedback from clients and team members.
• Proactive and effective communication with all stakeholders.
