As part of our next growth phase, we are building a data ecosystem to power millions of users, optimize AI-driven products, and support decision-making across squads (Product, AI, Backend, Marketing). We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who thrives in high-scale environments and wants to help shape the data backbone for our applications and AI platforms.

As Senior Data Engineer  in our team, you will:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support our app ecosystem (analytics, personalization, AI model feedback loops).
• Develop and operate pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, Composer/Airflow).
• Build internal APIs/services to make data accessible across squads (Backend, AI, Marketing).
• Ensure data reliability, quality, and governance for multiple app platforms with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured sources.
• Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices to automate deployment and monitoring of pipelines from dev to production.
• Work closely with stakeholders (Product Managers, Data Analysts, AI Engineers, Marketing leads) to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and turn business questions into scalable data solutions.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts and AI Engineers to integrate statistical models, product metrics, and A/B testing frameworks into production workflows.

Technical Skills 

• 5+ years of experience in modern data engineering with focus on lightweight, scalable systems.
• Strong in SQL (analytics engineering style) and Python (data APIs, pipeline development).
  Hands-on with cloud-native platforms (preferably GCP: BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions).
• Experience with real-time & event-driven pipelines for mobile/AI applications.
• Familiarity with modern analytical databases such as ClickHouse, Snowflake, or new-gen OLAP solutions (DuckDB, MotherDuck, Apache Pinot, Druid).
• Skilled in Data Build Tool or similar frameworks for lightweight data transformations.
• Comfortable with modern orchestration (Dagster, Prefect, or GCP Composer when needed).
• Understanding of vector databases and embedding stores (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) to support AI/LLM features.
• Knowledge of data observability and quality tools (Great Expectations, elementary, or similar).
• Experience deploying pipelines on serverless or containerized platforms (Cloud Run, Docker, Kubernetes).

Non-Technical Skills 

• Strong communicator, able to work directly with Product, AI, Backend, and Marketing stakeholders.
• Pragmatic mindset — knows when to build lightweight solutions vs. heavy infra.
• Proactive problem solver, curious about emerging AI/data tools (vector DBs, real-time warehouses, AI observability).
• Thrives in a fast-paced, product-focused environment with millions of global users.
