Job Description

We are currently looking for a mid/senior back-end developer with at least 4+ years in commercial development.  The successful candidate will join the back-end development team to lead and support several projects.  You will be working directly under our senior developer, contributing ideas and supporting the team's ongoing discussions about technology choices.

You will participate in the evolution of practices and methodologies within our multidisciplinary tech team. The right candidate will have a strong drive to improve themselves and contribute positively to the wider team, balancing adherence to processes with the freedom necessary to deliver high-quality work.

You will have developed strong ideals on development, but also are aware and capable of adjusting those ideals to fit the requirements and needs of different projects. There is a portion of DevOps involved with this role, the split being roughly 70-80% Program Development and 20-30% DevOps Management. 

We have a huge drive for Test-Driven development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Pull Requests, but desire to keep our methodologies and processes agile and appropriate for each project.

• Agency experience
• Having worked on .NET applications in an enterprise level
• Experienced working on .NET 8 to 10, C# is a must
• Comfortable with navigating legacy .NET Framework applications to extract logic for modernisation project
• Experienced working on BFF for mobile apps
• Experienced working with MSSQL and Postgresql
• Regularly attend meetings & standups with developers
• Perform peer code reviews to ensure work to be delivered by peers are of acceptable standards and adhere to client expectations
• Understands client requirements and applies them to development work, ensuring features are built in alignment with client goals and quality standards while considering project timings and budget.
• Applies .NET best practices when building applications, contributing to the development process within the established solution architecture.
• Reports To & Escalates to Senior Developer
• Having built & deployed .NET applications as microservice
• Worked with Azure services (Azure API Management, Azure Active Directory B2C)
• Built .NET application as BFF (interact with other APIs & services on behalf of FE)
• Worked with AKS or Docker
• Test Driven Development, code adhere to high percentage code coverage
• Excellent communicator
• English speaking is a must
• Understands and adheres to user privacy and data security standards when implementing features in .NET applications.
