Job Summary

This position is within the product team in a QA role, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and quality assurance, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring the highest standards of quality. You will collaborate with the product team to understand the feature and its usage, assist in writing the test plan during the development phase, and test the feature to ensure it meets the requirements and adheres to the software standards.

Collaboration with the QA team is essential, as they will use your test plan to further test the features and their interactions with other components of the system, including conducting regression tests.

Ideal candidates will have extensive knowledge of various testing methods and types, including UAT, database, UI, integration, and sanity testing. While most of the work will focus on manual testing, proficiency in automation testing is advantageous, as it can help expedite your work and reduce repetitive tasks.

You will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with developers to resolve issues. You will play a critical role in the software development lifecycle, ensuring that our products meet both functional and non-functional requirements. Your ability to think critically and analytically will be essential in identifying potential issues before they become problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA strategies and processes.

•  Ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
•  Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies.
•  Provide feedback to the development team.

•  Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
•  Develop and execute test plans and test cases.
•  Identify and mitigate risks related to product quality.
•  Support the implementation of automated testing tools and frameworks.
•  Collaborate with product management to define quality goals and objectives.

Key Requirements and skills
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 2 years  experience in software quality assurance or a related field. 
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to create and maintain QA documentation.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
• Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
