The Purpose of Your Role

As an Engineering Manager specializing in ReactJS, you will lead a team of talented engineers to design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications. You will be responsible for managing the engineering team, ensuring the delivery of robust and scalable solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
 

Your Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
• Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on technical guidance and support to the team, particularly in ReactJS development and best practices.
• Code Quality: Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, manage team workload, and optimize productivity.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges and roadblocks, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
• Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support the professional development of team members

Who do we want?

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong proficiency in ReactJS and related technologies (e.g., Redux, React Router).
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel & NPM/Yarn).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and how front-end applications interact with microservices.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and modern web development practices.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of back-end technologies is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Report directly to Head of Technology.
