Responsible for for developing and maintaining data catalog, ensuring data assets are well-organized, accessible and effectively governed under VIB frameworks and policy standards. This role requires a deep and strong understanding of data management principles, metadata, and data governance practices.

• Create, maintain, and update a comprehensive data catalog that includes metadata, data lineage, and data classifications
• Apply processes for discovering and documenting new data sources and assets
• Manage and standardize metadata across various data sources
• Evaluate, implement and optimize data catalog tools to meet organizational needs
• Ensure metadata is accurate, consistent, and easily accessible to users
• Provide training, coaching, and support to colleagues on data governance best practices, tools, and techniques in term of data access and utilization
• Stayed up to date with industry trends and best practice in data management and identify opportunity for improvements

Yêu cầu công việc

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in data governance or similar role within the life insurance industry or other relevant financial services sector.
• Technical skills: proficiency with data catalog tools (e.g., Glue, Alation, Collibra, Informatica), SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication and interpersonal skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, along with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
• Compliance and data security: Understanding of regulations related to data security and privacy
