Job Summary: 

The Android Infotainment, Camera & Media Application Engineer will lead the development, architecture, and feature optimization of passenger-facing applications within the vehicle cabin. This role focuses on global radio applications, multi-source media center aggregation (USB, Bluetooth, Streaming), local file-browsing services, gallery asset management, and critical low-latency video recording systems like the automotive Digital Video Recorder (DVR/Dashcam).

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design and implement localized automotive applications utilizing modern Android UI toolkits, ensuring multi-language support, regional requirements, and responsive designs.
• Develop a unified multi-source multimedia aggregation application (CarMedia) supporting cross-input playlist management, audio/video playback engines, and seamless state transitions.
• Architect and maintain the Digital Video Recorder (DVR) module, managing continuous loop recording, file browser indexing, playback frameworks, and automatic sensor-triggered emergency clip preservation.
• Optimize USB local media services (USB music) and asset viewers (Gallery), refining preview generations, filtering operations, and resolving framework performance lags.
• Implement high-performance dynamic user interface components, such as vector-based HVAC climate control animations, without introducing framework-level UI stuttering.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Deep expertise in Android Application architecture (MVVM/MVI), custom views, and rendering optimization (Jetpack Compose or Android View System).
• Strong knowledge of the Android Media Framework, ExoPlayer, storage abstraction access, and broadcast radio APIs.
• Proficiency in managing camera pipelines, local file structures, memory caching, and raw asset streaming buffers.
• Advanced proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with a solid grasp of writing efficient asynchronous code using Coroutines or RxJava.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-6+ years of experience in Android development, with at least 3 years specializing in Automotive HMI, multimedia routing, or embedded camera applications.

Desired / Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with automotive event listening (e.g., G-Sensor crash triggers hitting the application layer via VHAL/CarService)
