Job description

At Everfit, we’re building the future of fitness and productivity through cutting-edge AI and scalable platforms. As our systems grow in complexity and scale, we’re looking for a Solution Architect to join our Engineering team.

Unlike roles that design systems from day zero, this Solution Architect will step in after core products are already in place - focusing on optimizing architecture, scaling systems, and ensuring seamless integration across our product ecosystem. You’ll partner with Product, Engineering, and AI teams to bring structure, performance, and best practices into our evolving technology stack.

Your impact

• Assess & Evaluate Systems: Conduct a deep evaluation of Everfit’s current systems to identify strengths, limitations, and potential risks.
• Propose Scalable Approaches: Recommend strategies to maintain, optimize, and scale the system architecture for future growth.
• Design & Decision-Making: Translate product and business needs into clear architectural decisions, ensuring they align with Everfit’s roadmap and long-term goals.
• Implement & Optimize: Oversee the implementation of architectural solutions, starting with stabilization and moving toward performance optimization.
• Feature Expansion: Expand and evolve the structure of existing features, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and future-proof design.
• Integration Strategies: Define approaches for integrating third-party services, APIs, and cloud infrastructure to extend Everfit’s ecosystem.
• Modernization & Refactoring: Lead refactoring initiatives to reduce technical debt and improve maintainability.
• Best Practices: Establish and advocate for system design standards, data management practices, and architecture documentation.
• Mentorship & Guidance: Mentor engineers on architecture trade-offs, design patterns, and scalable engineering principles.
• Bridge Business & Tech: Act as a connector between product requirements and technical execution, ensuring solutions meet both customer needs and operational efficiency.

Your skills and experience

• 10+ years in software engineering with at least 4+ years in a solution/technical architect role.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Strong systems thinker with proven experience scaling SaaS or platform products.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred), microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on engineering background (Node.js, React.js, MongoDB, or similar).
• Excellent communicator able to translate complex technical ideas into actionable plans for engineers and stakeholders.
• Adaptable: comfortable stepping into an existing product environment, understanding trade-offs, and improving progressively.
