IT Business Analyst (Middle/Senior)

Job description

• Elicit and analyze business and system requirements from clients.
• Prepare detailed requirements documents, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams for solution design and validation, including bridging communication between business users and technical teams.
• Manage and prioritize product backlogs, sprint backlogs
• Define and document integration flows for third-party systems (e.g., Channel Managers, booking engines, or payment gateways).
• Support PM to monitor project progress, support testing phases (UAT), and address issues promptly.
• Contribute to risk assessment, change impact analysis activities, and propose system improvements.

Your skills and experience

Experience & Domain Knowledge

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects.
• Experience in the hospitality, travel, or fintech domain is a big plus.
• Proven experience collaborating with global clients/stakeholders (especially UK-based) is a strong advantage.

Technical & Core Skills

• Agile/Scrum: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with hands-on experience in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and workflow tracking.
• System Integration: Familiarity with API documentation (REST/SOAP) and experience handling partner integrations.
• Tools: Strong command of essential BA tools, including JIRA, Confluence, Balsamiq, Figma, and MS Visio 
• AI Leverage: Hands-on with AI tool(s) to foster role productivity and efficiency (e.g., requirements structuring, generating user stories, or data analysis).

Analytical & Soft Skills

• Ownership & Accountability: Take initiative and full responsibility for the quality of requirements, ensuring smooth project delivery across all sprints.
• Problem-solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to solution design rather than just gathering requirements.
• Communication: Efficient English communication (both written and spoken) to work seamlessly with cross-functional and international teams.
