MoneySmart Group is South East Asia's leading personal financial portal helping consumers
compare loans, insurance, and credit cards. MoneySmart was founded in 2009 with the
simple aim of helping consumers make better financial decisions.
With multiple banks and insurers pushing countless products out to consumers in the market
today, navigating one's way through all the marketing and technical jargon while dodging
the tactics of their overly pushy sales representatives simultaneously can be a major
challenge, even for the experienced consumer. We are a market leader in Singapore and
expanding fast into the region.
 

Mission
Bubblegum (BBG) is a new and fast-growing division within the MoneySmart Group that aims
to bring customers the best insurance products at the sweetest prices possible.
Your mission would be to develop new features, work on various integrations, maintain and
evolve existing solutions, and communicate with internal stakeholders and other developers.
.Net Backend engineering is the heart of our technical excellence. We are looking for people
who are able to analyze complex insurance domains and build high-quality API and
microservices in cross-functional product and project teams.

Responsibilities
● Oversee backend development practice and keep our technical standards
● Collaborate with other developers on shaping new best practices
● Assess business requirements and implement required changes according to best
practices to ensure high-quality deliverables
● Identify areas of improvement, plan and execute them together with other team
members
● Work with third-party vendors' APIs and documentation to form technical
requirements for integrations and execute on them
● Create documentation, supporting diagrams and release notes for technical solutions
● Provide an extensive level of attention to detail to ensure developed software covers
edge case scenarios
● Working with key stakeholders to plan releases and delivery dates
● Be a proactive and positive team member

● MS/BS in Computer Science or a related degree

● 5+ years of hands on experience with .NET and related technologies
● Excellent understanding of .NET Core and C#
● Experience with Docker
● Database design skills, understanding of transactions and sensitive data handling
● Understanding and experience in API design: REST, gRPC, GraphQL
● In-depth exposure to cloud technologies: AWS or Azure
● Experience with distributed systems architecture: microservices, CQRS
● Software design principles: DDD, SOLID
● Extensive experience with software automated testing techniques
● Exposure to infrastructure-related technologies: logging, monitoring and alerting
● Understanding of software design patterns
● Proven record of successfully delivered projects

● Good at English communication
