About the role

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Frontend Design Systems Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who cares deeply about UI quality, consistency, responsiveness, and visual precision.

Our application is a sophisticated online design editor with complex user interfaces, interactive editing tools, responsive layouts, and advanced application workflows. We are looking for someone who can elevate the frontend experience and ensure every part of the interface feels polished, intentional, and professionally executed.

This role is heavily focused on frontend implementation quality, pixel-perfect UI execution, responsive behavior, and consistency — creating a cohesive user experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

You will work closely with our UI/UX designer to translate product designs into scalable, reusable frontend patterns and design system components, and with frontend engineers to ensure these components are properly implemented within Vue.js and React applications. This role is a critical bridge between design and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build polished, production-quality UI using Vue.js and React.
• Translate Figma and design specifications into clean, maintainable frontend code.
• Own the visual consistency and frontend quality of the application.
• Ensure layouts, spacing, typography, alignment, sizing, and interactions are implemented with pixel-perfect precision.
• Create and maintain reusable frontend components and design system standards.
• Define and implement responsive and adaptive behavior across desktop, tablet, and mobile layouts.
• Handle complex application UI patterns — toolbars, side panels, inspectors, modals, drawers, bottom sheets, contextual menus, and responsive editor layouts.
• Improve and maintain CSS architecture and frontend styling standards.
• Review frontend pull requests for visual quality, responsiveness, consistency, and implementation detail.
• Identify and correct inconsistencies across the product UI.
• Work closely with frontend engineers to improve frontend implementation quality and maintainability.
• Ensure the application feels cohesive and visually consistent across all screens and workflows, with thoughtful responsive transitions between screen sizes.
• Ensure the UI behaves consistently across browsers and devices.
• Help establish and maintain frontend best practices and reusable patterns, and contribute to the evolution of the company design system.

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Expert-level HTML5 and CSS skills.
• Strong expertise in responsive and adaptive application design.
• Advanced knowledge of Flexbox, CSS Grid, media queries, container queries, animations and transitions, and positioning/layout systems.
• Strong experience with Vue.js; experience with React, or a willingness to work heavily in React.
• Strong understanding of component-based frontend architecture, with experience building and maintaining reusable UI component systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong eye for layout, spacing, typography, visual hierarchy, and consistency.
• Ability to implement highly polished, pixel-perfect interfaces, with a strong understanding of UI/UX quality and frontend craftsmanship.
• Experience working with design tools such as Figma.
• Strong understanding of accessibility and semantic HTML.
• Experience working on complex SaaS or web applications.
• Strong debugging and cross-browser troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

• Experience with Storybook or component documentation systems.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS, CSS Modules, or modern styling systems.
• Experience with design tokens and scalable design systems.
• Experience with mobile web UX and touch-first application design.

• Experience with visual regression testing.
