KAON is hiring for multiple embedded software roles. If you have experience in PON, gateway systems, WiFi, or QA, we encourage you to apply and join our innovative team

• PON Software Engineer

1. Design and develop new features for such network devices as GPON/EPGON ONT, Gateway Wi-Fi 802.11ac, ax and device drivers.
2. Design, develop and fix software errors of network protocols (Layer 2/Layer 3)
3. Develop gateway functionality based on Broadcom/RealTek/Cortina/Econet chipsets (Need the ability to develop various aspects without being restricted to specific functions)
4. Software development and debugging based on customer issues
5. Remote support for addressing international customer issues

• Residence Gateway Software Engineer

1. Design and implement residence gateway features
2. Design, develop and fix software errors of network protocols
3. Develop new network/ management features based on customers' requirement
4. Develop gateway functionality based on Broadcom/RealTek/Cortina/Econet chipsets (Need the ability to develop various aspects without being restricted to specific functions)
5. Remote support for addressing international customer issues

• Residence Gateway Software Engineer - Voice

1. Bringup voice features based on chipset (Broadcom, Realtek…)
2. Develop VoIP feature ONT/Gateway product (Call setup, Call waiting, forwarding, Status monitoring...)
3. Improve configuration data for VoIP support ( SIP parameters, Codec, dial matrix…)
4. Troubleshooting and fix VoIP issues (LED, connection interface, voice service management...)

• Web Development Engineer

1. Develop Web interface for embedded devices (Access Point, ONT...): Web UI, back-end API, security features (XSS, CSRF...)
2. Co-work with other member to develop features of devices
3. Develop back-end API base on C/C++ languages, mongoose or httpd server in Linux/Unix environment
4. Enroll to other jobs to support team members

• Software Engineer - WiFi

1. Porting WiFi drivers to support WiFi chipset (Qualcomm, Broadcom...) based on products
2. Verify and troubleshoot WiFi issues and tuning WiFi performance
3. Customize WiFi features based on products and customer's requirement
4. Develop additional WiFi features: easy mesh, bandsteering.

• Opensync - Residence Gateway Software Engineer

1. Bringup device based on chipset SDK with Opensync support
2. Develop network features based on opensync SDK
3. Syncronize opensync databased with device datamodel (TR181, TR143… ) and intergrate with other device management applications 
4. Support, troubleshoot, fix issues in FRV and FUT test.
5. Cowork with Plume team for Opensync integration and verification.

• Validation and Verification Engineer (QA)

1. Official software (Firmware) function verification
2. Customer requirement validation
3. Development software verification
4. Test confirmation of reported Customer issues and debugging issues.
5. Customer-specific issue list management and reporting
6. Management of Customer remaining issues and maintenance release schedule by cycle
7. Internal Test equipment and environment management for verification
8. On-site support upon Customer request

2. Strong in C/C++ development in embedded Linux
3. Strong IP networking knowledge and hands-on experience
4. C/C++, TCP/IP & Network knowledge, JavaScript, Shell script
5. Proficiency in English - spoken and written
6. Agile/Scrum Background

• Residence Gateway Software Engineer

1. B.Sc./M.S. Computer Science, Software or equivalent.
2. Strong in C/C++ development in embedded Linux
3. Strong IP networking knowledge and hands-on experience
4. C/C++, TCP/IP & Network knowledge, JavaScript, Shell script
5. Proficiency in English - spoken and written
6. Agile/Scrum Background

• Residence Gateway Software Engineer - Voice

1. B.Sc./M.S. Computer Science, Software or equivalent.
2. Knowledge: SIP protocol, VoIP service, Linux, Embedded software, Networking
3. Skill: Good at programming skill with C/C++ on Linux environment, Linux programming…
4. Experience: Preferred 1 year experience in similar position
5. Others: Ability to work independently, in group, self-motivated, good  at communication English

• Web Development Engineer

1. B.Sc./M.S. Computer Science, Software or equivalent.
2. Have at least 3 year-experience in Web development with both front-end and back-end
3. Experience in working with html, typescript, javascript, vue, jQuery, Ajax, json, css, python...
4. Proficiency in English - spoken and written

• Software Engineer - WiFi

1. B.Sc./M.S. Computer Science, Software or equivalent.
2. Strong in C/C++ development in embedded Linux
3. Strong IP networking knowledge and hands-on experience
4. C/C++, TCP/IP & Network knowledge, JavaScript, Shell script
5. Wi-Fi 11b/g/n/ac/ax and other wireless protocols knowledge
6. Experience in WLAN software development, including driver development, firmware, and system-level integration.
7. Experienced with Gateway products based on Broadcom/ Qualcomm/ Econet/ Realtek SoC... (Preferred)
8. Proficiency in English - spoken and written

• Opensync - Residence Gateway Software Engineer

1. B.Sc./M.S. Computer Science, Software or equivalent.
2. Strong in C/C++ development in embedded Linux
3. Strong IP networking knowledge and hands-on experience
4. C/C++, TCP/IP & Network knowledge, JavaScript, Shell script
5. Experienced in network development with Opensync (integration, development, verification: FRV, FUT)
6. Experienced with Gateway products based on Broadcom/ Qualcomm/ Econet/ Realtek SoC... (Preferred)
7. Proficiency in English - spoken and written

• Validation and Verification Engineer (QA)

1. B.Sc./M.S. Computer Science, Software or equivalent.
2. Strong network knowledge and experience
3. GPON/XGSPON knowledge (IOP experience recommended)
4. Application (person with understanding of various servers: ACS, SIP, NMS, Multicast, WIFI etc.)
5. Debugging experience (packet capture and analyze, hand-on trouble shooting...)
