The role’s main focus is to support and contribute to Murex test process to ensure that Murex projects achieve their delivery quality objectives within time and cost constraints. Multifaceted role with a strong focus on automation with MXtest (Murex proprietary automation tool for MX.3), building upon business knowledge, collaboration and proactiveness, supporting internal and external Clients on MXtest tool.

 

Note: This is not a traditional test automation role in SDLC and does not involve coding. The primary focus is to understand MX.3 system, to collaborate with other teams in order to build , to operate and to maintain automated packages tailored for our APAC Clients.

 

Your Role

 

  • Build and maintain efficient and effective test suites by automating test scenarios using MXtest, following the testing standards and automation best practices.
  • Ensure availability of the test ware before a test execution phase (test cases, test data, test environment, test tools, ...)
  • Execute automated test cases, log results and provide summary reports during the test
  • execution phases in projects.
  • Develop technical and financial expertise on Murex product solutions through initial onboarding, on the job experience, and other learning opportunities
  • Perform first level analysis when faced with an incident, track incident and follow informed resolution with corresponding stakeholders.
  • After developing necessary experience, additional activities to be performed:
  • Contribute to the test closure activities by providing feedback, capitalizing test packages and documentation.
  • Contributes to test practice activities and knowledge sharing through knowledge base, collaboration, training, and communities of practice.
  • Support and guide clients on testing best practices and test tools usage, including reviewing test packages, and suggesting further developments.

 

Interactions & Collaboration

 

  • Supervised by senior Test Engineer or Test Lead
  • Collaborate with Project team to define and execute Murex test strategy
  • Collaborate with Client to train, support and advise on automation with MXtest
  • Report MXtest issues to Product team and follow up till resolution

 

Success Milestones

 

First Month

 

  • Complete Murex onboarding (team and company introduction) with an assigned buddy
  • Complete initial training on MX.3 and MXtest
  • Automate simple test scenarios

 

2-4 Months

 

  • Continue technical and functional training
  • Perform first analyses of failed tests under supervision
  • Automate more complex test scenarios and begin contributing to projects
  • Provide first-level support for client cases

 

5-12 Months

 

  • Deepen technical and functional expertise
  • Increase efficiency and regularly contribute to multiple projects
  • Independently manage failed test cases, collaborating with other Murex teams when needed
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practice capitalization

Your skills and experience

Your Profile

 

  • University degree in Computer science, computer engineering, mechatronics or equivalent
  • 0-3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Basic knowledge on Unix/Linux shell and SQL
  • Prior experience on MXtest/MX.3 or similar software is a plus
  • Strong command of English (Both spoken and written) is required as this role needs to liaise with global team and counterparties.
