Job description

REPORTING TO: Vietnam R&D Head

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Ownership (20%)

  • Act as the bridge between customers and development teams to align on requirements and product goals
  • Gather, clarify, and prioritize product requirements from stakeholders
  • Define acceptance criteria and support backlog management
  • Support solution delivery to customers, ensuring clear communication of features and value
  • Participate in product release planning and provide input on product roadmap from QA and customer feedback perspective

Quality Assurance & Testing (70%)

  • Work with Project Manager to understand features and establish tests strategy (unit, integration)
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for software/POS applications/Licensed or SaaS solutions
  • Manage release identification and validation within CI/CD pipelines
  • Ensure product quality by validating compliance with customer requirements

Technical Support (10%)

  • Provide technical support to customers and end-users for POS applications, TMS (Terminal Management System), NCC (Network Communication Controller) and solution-related issue
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot NCC-related issues, using Unix command line for investigation and configuration; Perform periodical onsite maintenance
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot application and system-level issues
  • Escalate unresolved technical problems to the appropriate internal teams
  • Document product-related technical knowledge and troubleshooting guidelines for clients and internal use
  • Follow up with clients to ensure solutions are fully functional after fixes or upgrades

 

Key Performance Objectives/Indicators

  • High-quality, bug-free product releases aligned with customer requirements.
  • Reliable workload/test effort estimates for project planning.
  • Effective customer support with timely resolution of solution issues.
  • Contribution to product backlog quality and release success.

Your skills and experience

SKILLS/COMPETENCY SPECIFICATION

  • Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance & Quality Control principles
  • Hands-on experience in testing mobile applications (especially Android)
  • Good knowledge of SQL databases, web/host protocols, and encryption methods (preferred)
  • Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting application/system issues
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and balance QA, support, and product-related tasks
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic Unix command line knowledge (mandatory for NCC support)
  • Knowledge of payment domain (EMV, QR, ISO8583) is a plus

LANGUAGES:

  • Basic English communication

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in QA/Technical roles, with exposure to customer support and/or product ownership
  • Certifications in QA, Agile/Scrum, or Product Management are a plus
  • Background knowledge: IT, Android, embedded devices, network, Window/Unix platform
