Job description

Position Summary: 

The System Administrator are responsible for the secure and effective operation of all hardware and software that is used within a wide range of CRV oversees variate system, enable the delivery of a high-quality service to end users and processes are in place to meet business needs. This position is a stakeholder-facing role and requires that you establish and manage expectations within the business and drive the IT team to achieve those expectations to a high standard.

Key Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to) 

• Provide technical guidance to IT support staff, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development.
• Managed and hand on the large-scale system: UNIX/Linux, Windows, Server, Storage, Virtualization, Open-Source software, Monitoring, Cloud Services, and backup software.
• Implementing and managing backup/Restore/DRP procedures.
• To implement quality processes within IT to ensure that the processes are properly adapted and implemented within the IT operational teams.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, tools and methodologies that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering processes and products.
• Owner of the Incident, Request, Change and Escalation processes, ensuring high levels of performance in these processes, accurate reporting and establishing service improvement activities when required.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, presenting technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• Monitor, control, and support service delivery, ensuring systems, methodologies and procedures are in place and followed.
• Be accountable for the Quality of Service and performance; ensuring future demand from growth and projects is understood and factored into capacity plans for all associated systems.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the engineering culture, processes, and practices.
• Report to the Infrastructure and Platform Supervisor to provide regular updates on the status and progress of the system projects and initiatives.

Your skills and experience

Qualifications/ Memberships:

• 3+ years previous Managed Big Scale system in variate platform: Linux/Open-Source/Windows.
• Proven capacity to work under stress and to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment

Experience:

• Knowledge on Hardware: server and storage (Dell, HPE, IBM)
• Knowledge on Operating System: Windows, Ubuntu, SUSE Enterprise Linux,…
• Knowledge on Virtualizations: VMWare, Hyper-V, …
• Knowledge on Database: MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, …
• Knowledge on Web Services: NGINX, Apache, IIS, …
• Knowledge on ITIL process.
