Job description

BLogic Systems builds POS systems for the U.S. restaurant and bar market.  Our product team in Ho Chi Minh City works directly with our US-based team, and our software runs live in restaurants across the United States — quality issues reach real customers immediately.

We are hiring for two levels: a QA Leader to take full charge of product quality, and a Senior QA Engineer to strengthen the team's core. The Leader role is a strategic position for someone with 5+ years of QA experience, including proven experience managing QA teams; strong Senior candidates without management experience are also encouraged to apply for the Senior track.

1. QA Strategy & Quality Management

• Define and manage the overall QA strategy, testing standards, processes, and quality roadmap across the entire product line: POS, KDS, Kiosk, Online Ordering, Dashboard, and payment flows.
• Own the defect escape rate — the percentage of bugs found by customers, IT Support, or leadership instead of QA. This is your primary KPI.
• Ensure consistent testing practices and quality standards across projects and releases.
• Establish and enforce release gates: nothing goes to production without meeting clear quality criteria. You have the authority to block a release.

2. Team Management & Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the existing QA team; set KPIs and career development plans for each member.
• Manage team resources, performance, and hiring.
• Build a collaborative, high-performing QA team.

3. Test Planning & Delivery

• Manage test planning and execution across functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
• Build and maintain a regression suite for business-critical flows: payment, surcharge / dual pricing, receipt printing, split check, order submission, offline mode, and backward compatibility between POS versions.
• Conduct testing on real hardware: POS terminals, payment devices, printers, scales, KDS displays, and handheld devices.
• Coordinate QA activities across multiple projects and releases; manage testing priorities, risks, and delivery commitments.

4. Test Automation & Tooling

• Build the test automation framework from near zero, reducing our current dependence on manual testing.
• Integrate AI tools into the QA workflow: test case generation, log analysis, bug cluster analysis, and automation script development.

Your skills and experience

Must have

• 5+ years of experience in software QA/testing. For the Leader track: experience managing and leading QA teams is required; for the Senior track, it is a plus.
• Strong hands-on experience in test planning, execution, defect management, regression testing, and release quality.
• Experience managing QA delivery across multiple projects or releases.
• Proven ability to define and manage QA strategy, testing standards, processes, and a quality roadmap.
• Real automation experience (Playwright, Appium, or equivalent) — you have built a framework from scratch, not only executed existing scripts.
• Experience testing systems that handle money: a one-cent discrepancy in a payment flow is an incident, not a minor bug.
• Strong root cause analysis skills — you go beyond logging bugs to understanding why they happened.
• Proficiency with AI tools applied to real testing work.
• Strong people-management, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• The professional confidence to hold a release that does not meet quality criteria, even under schedule pressure.
• English: able to read technical documentation; ability to communicate with our US team is a plus.

Nice to have

• QA experience with POS, payment gateways, fintech, or hardware-integrated systems.
• Familiarity with payment processor certification standards.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Gherkin, SpecFlow, Postman, SoapUI, etc.
