Job description

1. Implementation:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts and frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Execute automated test cases and analyze results to identify software defects.
• Identify and report key quality metrics, including test coverage and defect density.
• Ensure testing adheres to organizational standards and complies with industry best practices.

2. Collaboration:

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand application requirements and use cases.

3. Problem Solving 

• Debug, troubleshoot, and document software issues in coordination with development teams.

4. Tech savvy:

• Regularly update and refine test automation frameworks to align with project requirements.

Your skills and experience

Knowledge

• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and life cycles (e.g., Agile).
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar.
• Knowledge of programming/scripting languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript…
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
• Awareness of performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of database testing with SQL queries and tools.
• Understanding of BDD/TDD practices and related tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow.

Skills/Experience

• 3 - 5 years of experience working as an Automation Software Tester.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve testing issues.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and project priorities.
• Experience in creating robust automation frameworks for scalability and maintainability.
