Job description
Position Summary:
- Design and maintain the automation framework and develop automation test cases using Playwright.
- Analyse and create test cases in accordance with the specifications.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure the product meets the Business requirements and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Complete assigned tasks from your direct superior(s) on time.
- Determine test objectives through detailed analysis to automate features comprehensively.
- Develop, plan, and implement automated test cases based on software requirements and technical understanding.
- Develop and extend the current test automation infrastructure to be more efficient, both in execution and in reporting.
- Run tests (including manual test or automation test or both) against UAT builds/releases during their development lifecycle.
- Perform manual testing for features upon request.
- Prepare test data and test environment for testing.
- Take responsibility for certifying the quality of the product.
- Create bug reports into Bug Tracking system and follow the bug life cycle.
- Report testing status and test results (daily or/and weekly) to superior (Project Leader or Direct Manager) accurately and promptly.
- Support, mentor, or coach members when needed.
Your skills and experience
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in IT/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related discipline.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript
- 3+ years’ experience in development or automated testing, implementing test cases, and executing test cases using any automation testing frameworks like (Playwright,Selenium, Appium, etc.)
- 2+ years of experience in manual testing across various test types (API, Functional, UI, Acceptance, etc.)
- Have good knowledge of testing methodologies & techniques and the defect reporting process
- Experience with Version Control (SVN, GIT) and CI/CD system (Jenkins).
- Experience in testing web-based applications is required.
- Experience with the defect tracking system and quality assurance tools (Jira, Confluence, TestRail).
- Experience with AI tools to apply to daily jobs is a plus.
- Problem Solving skill, Issue escalation skills, Time management skills.
- Interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Able to work in a dynamic and ever-changing industry.
- Good English written and verbal communication skills are preferred.
- Logical thinking, detail-oriented, and willing to take on challenges.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
