Job description

We are seeking a Middle DevOps Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing infrastructure, automating software delivery through CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and high availability of our platform. This role requires a proactive mindset, strong system design thinking, and hands-on experience with modern cloud-native technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure based on Microservices architecture and distributed systems, ensuring high scalability and fault tolerance.
• Build and optimize end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, and ArgoCD to shorten software release cycles.
• Develop automation scripts for operational tasks, deployment, and monitoring using Bash, Python, or equivalent programming languages.
• Manage and operate containerized environments with Docker and orchestrate containers on Kubernetes platforms (EKS, GKE, or on-premises environments).
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Set up, monitor, back up, and upgrade MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring performance, availability, and data integrity.
• Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or equivalent solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Development (Dev), Quality Assurance (QA), and Security teams to ensure a seamless DevOps process.
• Participate in incident response activities, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and propose preventive solutions to improve system reliability.

Your skills and experience

Work Experience

• 3–5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or similar role.
• Solid understanding of Microservices architecture and Distributed Systems.
• Hands-on experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
• Strong scripting skills using Bash, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience deploying, monitoring, and upgrading MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of infrastructure and cloud security, including secrets management and network policies.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows and Service Mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
• Experience operating high-traffic, high-availability production systems.

Nice-To-Have Qualifications:

• Experience building Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) or Platform Engineering solutions.
• Experience supporting large-scale systems serving thousands of users.
• Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to proactively identify and implement infrastructure and process optimizations.
