Job description

The Digital Technology Service (DTS) Business Partner – IT Project Manager (Vietnam) serves as the primary technology partner for the Vietnam business, connecting local business priorities with regional DTS strategy, standards, and delivery capabilities. The role is accountable for understanding business needs, shaping and prioritizing technology demand, coordinating project delivery and service improvement, and driving adoption of digital and enterprise solutions across restaurant operations and corporate functions. Working closely with local management, local DTS teams, internal stakeholders, and external vendors, the role ensures that technology initiatives deliver measurable business value while meeting requirements for security, reliability, governance, budget, and operational readiness.

Key Tasks:

  • Business partnership and demand management: Build trusted relationships with Vietnam business leaders and functional teams; understand business plans, pain points, and opportunities; translate needs into clear requirements, business cases, priorities, and a practical technology roadmap.
  • Project and product delivery: Coordinate end-to-end delivery of local and regional technology initiatives, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, dependencies, risks, quality, testing, deployment, and post-implementation review.
  • Restaurant and enterprise technology enablement: Support technology used across restaurant operations and corporate functions, such as POS, kiosk, online ordering, delivery integrations, payment, CRM, ERP, HR systems, reporting, workplace technology, and infrastructure.
  • Requirements and solution coordination: Facilitate workshops, document current and future processes, define functional and non-functional requirements, assess solution options with technical teams, and ensure agreed solutions are scalable, supportable, and fit for purpose.
  • Stakeholder communication and governance: Provide concise and timely updates to local management and regional DTS, maintain decision and action logs, manage expectations, and escalate material risks, issues, or trade-offs with clear recommendations.
  • Vendor and commercial management: Coordinate suppliers and implementation partners, monitor contractual deliverables, milestones, service levels, costs, and quality, and support procurement, quotation review, budgeting, and invoice validation.
  • Service performance and issue escalation: Act as the business-facing escalation point for significant technology issues; coordinate relevant support teams and vendors, track root-cause actions, and drive sustainable improvement rather than repeated workarounds.
  • Change, adoption, and operational readiness: Plan stakeholder communication, training, user acceptance testing, cutover, contingency arrangements, hypercare, and handover to operations; monitor adoption and benefits after launch.
  • Risk, security, and compliance: Ensure initiatives follow group architecture, cybersecurity, data privacy, access control, change management, and audit requirements; identify gaps and coordinate remediation with accountable teams.
  • Planning and continuous improvement: Maintain the Vietnam DTS demand and project portfolio, track agreed KPIs and benefits, identify process or cost optimisation opportunities, share market insights, and contribute to regional standards and reusable solutions
