Huenx AS is an AI-first consultancy and product company based in Norway. We deliver software and AI consulting services to clients across Norway and Europe, and we build our own AI-driven products. Our model brings together Norwegian business insight and senior Vietnamese engineering talent — small, highly skilled teams that work effectively with AI to deliver faster than larger organizations.

We run data-intensive projects across multiple industries — property and compliance platforms, industrial AI in oil and gas, and workflow automation. We are hiring for both full-time and hourly engagements.

The role

This is a hands-on senior data engineering role. You build and own the data pipelines and models that power reporting and AI across our client projects — on Azure and Microsoft Fabric, end-to-end. You use AI tools as a core part of how you work, not an afterthought. You work directly with our team and our international clients, so clear English communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and transformation workflows on Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
• Implement a clean medallion architecture (bronze / silver / gold) for layered, reliable data.
• Build and manage transformation models with dbt.
• Build well-structured data models that serve both Power BI reporting and AI/ML consumption.
• Integrate data from diverse internal and external sources across multiple domains.
• Use AI tools (for coding and for daily work) as your default workflow to move fast without sacrificing quality.
• Document pipelines, transformation logic, and data models clearly.

Yêu cầu công việc

• 5–10 years of data engineering experience, with hands-on ownership in production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure and Microsoft Fabric. Required.
• Strong experience with dbt and medallion architecture. Required.
• Strong SQL and solid data modeling skills (star schema, ETL/ELT design patterns). Python is a plus.
• Familiarity with Power BI and how the data layer drives reporting performance.
• Experience with data pipelines that feed AI and ML models is a strong advantage.
• AI-first: proficient with AI tools for coding and daily work, and able to use them to deliver real, production-grade work. This is a core requirement, not a bonus.
• English: professional working proficiency. You must be able to communicate comfortably and clearly with international clients in English, both written and spoken.
• Able to work Norwegian business hours, which is 12:00 – 21:00 Vietnam time (ICT), Monday to Friday.
