CESA Vietnam was founded in 2018; CESA started as a development center in Vietnam,then now became a technology company of CEVA Logistic, specializing in Microsoft .Net technologies (ASP.Net MVC, API, Azure,...), ESB platform (Webmethods, Java...) and delivers projects using Agile methodology.
 

We are looking for motivated Java Backend Developers at Junior and Middle levels to join our engineering team and contribute to high-volume, scalable integration platforms and backend services processing millions of messages every day.
You will work with technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, REST APIs, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes, gaining hands-on experience with distributed systems and enterprise integration.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-volume, scalable integration platforms and backend services.
• Develop reusable, scalable, secure, and high-performance components using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, REST APIs, and databases.
• Collaborate with Delivery Managers, Architects, Business Analysts, and development teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards and engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and technical discussions.
• Analyze application and production issues, identify root causes, and contribute to sustainable solutions.
• Continuously learn, explore new technologies and practices, and actively share knowledge within the team.

General Requirements:
 

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• We do not expect candidates to know every technology in our stack. Strong fundamentals, problem-solving ability, learning potential, and the right attitude are more important.
• At least 1 year of relevant software development experience is preferred for Junior level. Solid professional experience is expected for Middle level.
• Strong fresh graduates may also be considered if they demonstrate excellent technical fundamentals, coding and problem-solving skills, and meaningful hands-on experience through internships, freelance work, academic projects, open-source contributions, or personal projects.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive attitude, growth mindset, and eagerness to learn.
• Good communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Openness to feedback and continuous improvement.

Technical Requirements
 

• Strong understanding of Java fundamentals, OOP, collections, data structures, exception handling, and coding best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Spring/Spring Boot, including Spring Core, Spring MVC, and Spring Data.
• Knowledge and experience in RESTful API design and development.
• Good understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and SQL with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Knowledge or experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra is a big advantage.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ability to perform software development activities including design, coding, unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and verification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kafka or other messaging and event-driven technologies.
• Experience with Cassandra or other NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and enterprise integration.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or cloud technologies.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular.

Language
Good written and spoken English communication skills.

Interview Process
Round 1 – Technical Assessment & English Discussion

• Technical assessment: approximately 45 minutes
• Short English communication assessment

Round 2 – Technical Interview

• Technical and behavioral interview: approximately 40–70 minutes
