Job Description:

As an ETL tester, you will be responsible for validating data sources, extracting data, applying transformation logic, and loading data into target data structures. The ideal candidate will ensure that the architecture and data processes meet the quality standards and business requirements… 

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Validate data sources, extracting data applications of transformation logic and uploading data in target tables.
• Monitor and manage issues/bugs life cycle in tracking systems.
• Writes, reviews and executes formal test scripts including setup and data requirements, procedures and expected results.
• Design, develop, and execute ETL test plans and test cases to mimic data processing in a production scenario.
• Identify, analyze, and document issues with data processing, data integrity, data quality, and performance.
• Work closely with data warehouse developers and business analysts to ensure correct implementation of data models and ETL processes.
• Use SQL and other query tools to perform complex data analysis and validation.
• Prepare data sets for testing, including input data and expected data outputs.
• Automate ETL test processes to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Report on testing status, including metrics, anomalies, and challenges.
• Participate in troubleshooting and tuning ETL processes.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

Required skills/Experience:

• Proven experience as an ETL tester or in a similar role.
• Should be familiar with the ETL Testing tools, techniques and methodologies.
• Proficient in SQL/PL SQL, Join conditions, Procedures … and scripting for data manipulation and validation.
• Proactively engage with all team members including developers, business users and business analysts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Agile/ Scrum experience.
• Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks is a plus. (Especially Katalon)
• Clinical domain knowledge is preferable.

Years of experiences:

We expect candidate has at least 3 years of experience.
