As a Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building the systems that power our next generation of commerce solutions.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Go (Golang) or Java.
• Build high-performance, event-driven microservices that support critical business workflows and large-scale transaction processing.
• Design and implement distributed systems for order management, fulfillment, and commerce operations.
• Develop and optimize cloud-native applications on AWS, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Collaborate on database architecture and data modeling using PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency.
• Integrate with third-party platforms, APIs, and external services.
• Work closely with Product, Business, and Engineering teams to transform business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Continuously improve system architecture, code quality, observability, and engineering best practices.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of backend development experience. We are also open to exceptional early-career engineers with strong technical foundations.
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) or Java.
• Experience building and operating cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Experience working with containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with modern observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
• Experience working with search technologies such as OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
• Understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and high-concurrency applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building scalable products.
• Good English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within regional teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal.
• Experience building high-traffic, large-scale systems.
• Exposure to AI-powered development tools, AI agents, or AI-driven automation solutions.
• Experience leveraging AI technologies to improve engineering productivity, software quality, or operational efficiency.
