Information Details

A strong CV doesn’t just list what you’ve done; it tells a clear, compelling story about what you can do next. But most of us didn’t get it right the first time. Your story could be:
- You sent out dozens of applications with no response;
- You realized too late that your CV didn’t reflect your real skills; or
- One small change in your CV suddenly made recruiters start noticing you.

This challenge invites IT professionals at all levels, from freshers to experienced engineers, testers, analysts, and beyond, to share the CV lessons they learned along the way. Not perfect advice. Not theory. Just real experiences.

By sharing what worked (and what didn’t), you’ll help others avoid common mistakes, improve how they present themselves, and get closer to their next opportunity. Because sometimes, the difference between being overlooked and getting a callback… is how you tell the story in your CV.

Your CV when you were younger:
- What’s one mistake you made in your CV early on?
- When did you realize your CV wasn’t working, and why?

Your CV now:
- What’s one change that improved your chances of getting interviews?
- How do you present your skills or experience differently now?
- What do you no longer include in your CV, and why?

Reflection and Advice:
- If you could rewrite your first CV, what would you do differently?
- What advice would you give to someone writing their first CV today?
- How do you make your CV stand out without exaggerating?
