Pixelz got its start in 2011 in Holstebro, Denmark. Back then, we were called Remove the Background. Our goal was straightforward: help e-commerce businesses create great-looking product images, without the hassle.
That mission guided us for the next decade. Along the way, we developed what we call SAW—Specialist Assisted Workflow. Inspired by processes in other industries, we reimagined post-production as a series of steps supported by technology, including early applications of AI. It was a completely new way to approach image editing at scale, and it set the foundation for everything we’ve built since.
Now, the industry is shifting again. AI is evolving fast. Creative demands are growing. New formats, from video to virtual models, are becoming part of the everyday toolkit.
We’ve been preparing for this moment. Our platform is built to help brands keep up, tell their story, and get creative—whether that means testing new content types, scaling production, or just getting images out the door more efficiently.
At the heart of it all is our team. We're a global group of passionate people who love solving creative challenges, embracing change, and helping our customers do more with their content.
