Role Summary
Itviec’s client is seeking an adaptable, high-energy, and technically grounded Technical Scrum Master to lead, guide, and build a high-performing scrum team dedicated to launching a disruptive financial technology product.
Your main mission is to ensure an optimal, frictionless flow of engineering deliverables straight to "DONE". You will establish a sustainable delivery cadence, manage cross-functional expectations, and clear delivery roadblocks proactively before they impact the sprint.
Responsibilities
- Technical Workflow Management: Oversee continuous product delivery, manage and reduce technical debt, and coach small engineering teams while maintaining a hands-on technical understanding of the ecosystem.
- Ceremony Excellence: Maintain absolute quality and engagement across all agile ceremonies, including Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Product Showcases, and Retrospectives.
- Backlog & Visual Tracking: Own and maintain the Master Story List (MSL) to ensure user stories are constantly refined and sprint-ready; maintain transparent visual metrics via card walls and burn-up charts.
- Conflict Resolution & Negotiation: Act as the voice of reason and delivery authority within the team, resolve internal/external friction points, and negotiate scope or timelines with stakeholders pragmatically.
- Team Empowerment: Foster an open, honest, and transparent relationship with key leadership, drive high team morale, and implement constructive feedback loops.
Your skills and experience
Core Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of recent, dedicated experience operating as an active Scrum Master in fast-paced software engineering environments.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills are mandatory for daily collaboration in an international setup.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and leadership without direct formal authority.
- Expert competency in driving team commitment to the Definition of Done (DoD), prioritizing backlogs, and resolving systemic team dependencies.
- Demonstrate assertiveness, pragmatism, and a strong capability to coach or mentor engineering teams while remaining hands-on when necessary.
Technical Breadth (You must demonstrate a solid understanding in at least 3 of the following 5 areas):
- Java Backend: Comprehensive knowledge of microservices-based architectures.
- AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Essential cloud concepts (Holding an AWS Certified Practitioner title is highly advantageous).
- Mobile/Web Development: Practical familiarity with iOS, Android, or standard Web engineering cycles.
- Quality Assurance: Solid foundations in test management and Test Automation frameworks.
- DevOps: Practical understanding of continuous delivery pipelines and CI/CD concepts.
