Solution Architecture Manager (Cloud)

Job description

1. Team Leadership & Capability Development
• Build, lead, and develop the Solution Architecture team.
• Allocate tasks, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching and mentoring.
• Strengthen team capability in architecture design, emerging technologies, and governance practices.
2. Enterprise Architecture Governance
• Design, maintain, and continuously improve the Enterprise Architecture Framework.
• Develop and manage a 3–5 year technology roadmap aligned with business strategy.
• Govern the architecture of core systems, including Core Banking, Loan Origination/Management, Card Management, and Payment Platforms.
• Establish architecture standards, design principles, and review mechanisms.
3. Solution Architecture & Technology Design
• Lead solution architecture design for key initiatives and transformation projects.
• Drive adoption of modern architectural approaches (Cloud/Hybrid, Microservices, Containerization, API Gateway, ESB).
• Design data architecture and ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and vendors to meet business and technical requirements.
4. Security, Risk & Compliance
• Ensure solution designs comply with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and applicable State Bank of Vietnam regulations.
• Collaborate with IT Security and Risk teams on security architecture and risk mitigation.
• Identify and manage architectural risks, including technical debt and system vulnerabilities.
5. Project Governance & Stakeholder Coordination
• Review and approve critical architecture decisions across projects.
• Collaborate with PMO, Business Units, Vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
• Provide architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Reporting & Strategic Advisory
• Provide periodic updates and reports to the Head of IT Architecture and senior management.
• Advise management on technology trends, investment priorities, and long-term architecture strategy.
7. Other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Your skills and experience

1. Education
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
2. Experience
• Minimum of 7 years of working experience in banking, consumer finance, fintech, or other financial institutions.
• Hands-on experience in implementing and/or integrating critical systems such as Core Banking, Loan Origination/Management, Card Management, and Payment Platforms.
3. Skills & Professional Competencies
• Strong knowledge and solid experience in modern technologies, including:
+ Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Hybrid)
+ Microservices and API Management
+ Containerization/Kubernetes
+ DevOps and CI/CD
+ Data Architecture (DWH, Big Data, Analytics)
+ Security Architecture
• Proven ability to lead teams, allocate tasks, and develop team capabilities.
• Experience working with stakeholders and managing vendors.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
• Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in both Vietnamese and English.
