As a Solution Architect, you will work with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and technology leaders; you will translate complex requirements into practical, scalable solutions that deliver real business outcomes. Your solutions will support thousands of users and contribute to the technology backbone that enables teams across Vingroup to build, integrate, and operate at speed and scale.

We're looking for motivated, hand-on Solution Architects who enjoy solving complex problems, influencing technical direction, and working closely with delivery teams to turn architecture into reality. You will provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, helping to define architecture roadmaps, guide implementation, and ensure the solutions we build are secure, scalable, and built for the future.

This role will report directly to the Director of Application Architecture and Cloud Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
Solution Architecture & Design
● Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and technology leaders to understand business objectives and translate requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solution architectures.
● Design end-to-end solutions spanning applications, integrations, cloud services, and platform capabilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and strategic objectives.
● Champion modern architectural practices including cloud-native design, API-first development, microservices, event-driven architectures, automation, and platform engineering principles.

Drive adoption of architectural patterns and engineering practices that improve scalability, reliability, maintainability, and developer productivity.

Technology Strategy & Evaluation
● Provide architectural leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, from discovery and design through to implementation and production operations.
● Ensure that architectural decisions are practical, achievable, and successfully implemented.
● Evaluate architectural approaches, cloud services, platforms, and emerging technologies to identify the most effective solutions for business and technical requirements.
● Assess technology trade-offs and make recommendations that balance business value, technical excellence, operational complexity, and long-term sustainability.
● Design for scale, performance, and high availability, proactively identifying risks, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization.
● Identify architectural risks, technical debt, and delivery challenges early, providing pragmatic recommendations and mitigation strategies.
● Support teams in troubleshooting complex technical issues and resolving cross-functional design challenges.
Architecture Governance & Documentation
● Create and maintain architecture artefacts including solution designs (SAD), technical specifications, integration diagrams, architecture decision records (ADRs), and implementation guidance.

● Ensure architectural documentation remains accurate, accessible, and aligned with evolving business requirements, technology standards, and delivery outcomes.
● Communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
● Contribute to architectural governance processes, ensuring solutions align with enterprise principles, security requirements, and target-state roadmaps.

Your skills and experience

Qualifications:
Educational qualification:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of design and implementation experience in IT, in which at least 3 years in related positions like solution architect or technical architect.
Technical Skills & Experience
• Hands-on experience and strong understanding of integration patterns, including APIs, event streaming, messaging, workflow orchestration, batch processing, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience designing integration solutions across on-premises, cloud-native, and hybrid environments.
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating solutions on major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Strong understanding of modern application architecture and cloud-native design principles, including Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), Twelve-Factor Applications, resiliency patterns, scalability patterns, and distributed systems design.
• Knowledge of architectural and design methodologies such as Domain-Driven Design (DDD), API-first design, and common enterprise integration patterns.
• Practical knowledge of backend development technologies (e.g. Java, C#, Python), databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), and modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue).
• Knowledge and understanding of architecture modelling standards and techniques, including UML, ArchiMate, and related enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern platform engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and DevEx
• Strong awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and evolving architectural practices, with the ability to evaluate new technologies and determine their suitability for enterprise-scale solutions.
