Job description

Itviec’s client is seeking a highly skilled engineer focused on CAD data analysis and ML modeling to lead the design and development of our manufacturing data solutions. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, efficient, innovative backend and modeling systems that unlock the potential of manufacturing data. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in machine learning and 3D data analysis, coupled with the ability to create and execute a vision for processing and leveraging CAD data as valuable core assets within our cloud-based drawing platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• CAD Data Analysis & Structural Research: Conduct core research and development to automate the generation of 2D drawings directly from raw CAD data. Deeply analyze and interpret complex CAD data structures to create, optimize, and evaluate methods for extracting critical manufacturing elements, such as holes, overall dimensions, and bends.
• Multimodal Embedding & Cross-Modality Search: Spearhead specialized R&D focusing on associating multi-modal engineering data assets. Design and implement algorithms capable of executing high-performance similarity searches between distinct data modalities, specifically linking 3D structural data with 2D engineering drawings.
• Automated Generative CAD Design Engineering: Drive forward-looking research and development aimed at achieving completely automated CAD data generation from text or system prompts. Train, refine, and deploy generative models capable of programmatically producing precise CAD command sequences.
• Native CAD Software Integration: Lead the software development efforts required to seamlessly integrate core cloud functionalities with major industry-standard CAD software suites, specifically SolidWorks and NX, enabling enterprise users to utilize the platform's advanced features directly inside their native CAD design environment.
• Technical Strategy & Organizational Impact: Participate actively as a vital member of a lean, expert engineering squad, contributing directly to long-term technical strategy formulation, structural data architecture decisions, and internal organizational management.

Your skills and experience

Must Have:

• Experience: Minimum 4 to 5 years of professional experience in Backend or Software Development roles.
• Domain Domain Expertise: Proven professional or academic experience specializing in 3D data analysis.
• Theoretical Foundation: Solid knowledge of core algorithms related to computer science, Machine Learning, statistics, and Linear Algebra.
• Development Workflow: A solid track record of developing within a team environment utilizing Git and modern CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• DevOps Basics: Basic operational understanding of containerization technologies like Docker.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent business communication skills in English (CEFR B1 level or higher) for daily text collaboration and active participation in technical meetings.
• Locality: Current residency in Vietnam or concrete, legal relocation plans.

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience in CAD plugin development or working closely with specialized CAD SDKs (e.g., SolidWorks, NX).
• Direct experience handling and processing 3D or 2D CAD/drawing data assets.
• Strong familiarity with computer graphics libraries such as WebGL, OpenGL, Metal, or Vulkan.
• Practical experience with GPU-accelerated parallel computing programming (e.g., CUDA, OpenCL).
• Proven track record of releasing, operating, and monitoring machine learning models in live production environments.
• Infrastructure construction or data pipelining experience utilizing public cloud platforms like Google Cloud (GCP) or AWS
