Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to lead the design and development of compelling user experiences for our digital products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of user-centered design, strong visual design skills, and a proven track record of creating and delivering intuitive and engaging user interfaces. As a senior member of the team, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and take ownership of key design implementations throughout the product life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- UI/UX Design
- Design and create polished, innovative, and user-friendly interfaces that enhance usability and engagement.
- Lead and manage the design process, from ideation to delivery, ensuring the creation of best-in-class user experiences across web, mobile, and desktop platforms.
- Build and maintain design systems and pattern libraries to ensure a cohesive look and feel across all products.
- User Research and Requirements Alignment
- As part of the product and customer engagement, lead and conduct usability testing and gather feedback from customers to refine designs implementations.
- Use data and analytics to inform design decisions, continuously improving the product experience.
- Develop and articulate design ideas and standards aligned with user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
- Translate research findings into detailed user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with business owners, product management and customer engagement, product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and user experience.
- Present and defend design decisions to stakeholders, articulating how designs support both user and business goals.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure that designs are implemented accurately and effectively.
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and results-oriented team environment.
- UI/UX Standards
- Develop comprehensive UI/UX design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure a consistent and user-centered approach across all digital products.
- Create style guides, design systems, and component libraries for use by design and development teams.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of a scalable design system that standardizes UI components, typography, color palettes, and interaction patterns.
- Ensure that the design system supports responsive and accessible design principles.
- Work with product teams to enforce uniformity and ensure consistency in UI/UX across web, mobile, and desktop applications.
- Innovation & Trend Awareness:
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging design technologies, and best practices in UI/UX to drive innovation within the design team.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in existing products.
Your skills and experience
- Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful delivery of end-to-end product design.
- Experience working on both web and mobile (iOS/Android) applications.
- Technical Skills:
- Mastery of design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, and other prototyping tools.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and mobile-first design principles.
- Experience with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Proficiency in creating design systems and visual frameworks.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale to stakeholders.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple products simultaneously.
- Open to feedback and able to iterate designs quickly based on input from stakeholders and users
