What This Role Is

At Zeya Labs, we build enterprise software that delivers real business value — which means quality isn't a checkpoint at the end, it's built into how we work. As a Senior QA Engineer (Automation), you will own quality across the full software development lifecycle, from test strategy through release validation, for applications that our customers run their operations on.

You will design and maintain the automation frameworks that keep our regression, API, and integration testing fast and reliable, while also driving the practices — defect management, root cause analysis, release sign-off — that let the wider team ship with confidence. This is a hands-on technical role and a quality-leadership role at the same time: you write the scripts, and you also set the standard other engineers are held to.

Concretely, you are responsible for three things:

End-to-End QA Ownership

• Lead QA activities across the full software development lifecycle — test planning, execution, defect management, and release validation
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for web, API, and regression testing
• Create test strategies, test plans, and test cases, and hold the line on quality standards across releases
• Perform functional, integration, regression, API, and database testing across enterprise applications
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure delivery quality
• Own the defect lifecycle end to end — triage, root cause analysis, and the continuous-improvement loop that follows
• Support UAT, deployment validation, production verification, and post-go-live activities
• Mentor junior QA engineers and champion QA best practices across the team

Your skills and experience

What We Are Looking For

• 5–8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including automation testing
• Strong experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar
• Experience in API testing and automation (Postman, REST Assured, or similar)
• Experience with enterprise applications — Finance, ERP, Estate Management, or other business workflow systems
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, testing processes, and defect management
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

You Will Work Across

This role spans multiple layers of the QA function depending on release needs:

• Automated test frameworks spanning web, API, and regression suites
• Enterprise domains such as Finance, ERP, Estate Management, and business workflow systems
• CI/CD pipelines, embedding automated testing directly into the delivery process
• UAT, deployment validation, and production verification through to post-go-live support
• Mentoring and QA process improvement across the wider engineering team
• Nice to have: experience leading QA activities or mentoring QA teams, and exposure to cloud-based applications or performance testing

There's no quality function to coast on here — you are building and running it. We're looking for someone who treats automation as a craft, not a checkbox, and who wants ownership over how quality gets built into enterprise software from the ground up.
