Job description

EMCT focuses on digital transformation solutions for utility systems in buildings and factories, especially remote fire monitoring and control services that apply advanced digital technologies to protect lives and assets. We provide intelligent, real-time fire safety solutions for businesses and facilities across South Korea, United States, Vietnam, and other countries. Our mission is to combine advanced software platforms with strict safety standards to create a safer environment through innovation.

We are currently building our core product engineering team and are looking for a Senior Backend .NET Developer to join us. In this role, you will play a key part in developing both our SaaS systems and our core IoT platform for smart buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services for SaaS systems
• Build and expose RESTful APIs consumed by frontend and client applications
• Ensure data integrity across core business workflows
• Build scalable, real-time backend services for IoT and smart building solutions
• Develop WebSocket-based communication layers for device data streaming
• Design and maintain APIs for integration with IoT devices and third-party systems
• Optimize backend performance and reliability for real-time IoT data processing at scale
• Evolve the platform architecture to support global service expansion, including multi-region deployment and scalability across countries
• Collaborate with frontend and client app teams on integration

Your skills and experience

Required:

• 7+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend/server-side
• Expert-level proficiency in C# / .NET and  ASP.NET Core, with hands-on experience building RESTful APIs
• Experience with EF Core or an equivalent ORM
• Experience with relational databases, including query optimization and schema design
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Comfortable communicating in English in a business setting (both written and verbal)

Nice to have:

• Experience with SaaS, ERP, or IoT platforms
• Experience with real-time systems and WebSocket-based communication
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture, Kafka, or gRPC
• Exposure to IoT systems and Linux environments
• Familiarity with WPF, MAUI, or WinForms for legacy/desktop integration
• A degree in IT from a top 5 university is a plus
