Job description

About the Job:
We are building the YUM! SuperApp, powering operations across 9,500+ restaurants worldwide (KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, The Habit Burger). This is a high-scale, mission-critical platform used by restaurant teams globally. We’re looking for a React Native specialist with strong front-end engineering experience who can deliver high-quality features, ensure stability after release, and help grow teammates through mentoring. 

 Responsibilities: 

• Design and develop scalable mobile apps with React Native (core responsibility). 
• Contribute to ReactJS web apps to ensure consistency across platforms. 
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and data flows. 
• Monitor and maintain apps after release — track crashes, resolve issues, and ensure smooth operation. 
• Debug and optimize performance across iOS and Android. 
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and foster team growth. 

Your skills and experience

 Requirements:

• 4+ years combined frontend experience (React Native + ReactJS), with React Native as the primary/core skill. 
• Strong technical ability in React Native: performance optimization, architecture, and debugging. 
• Experience with post-release monitoring (Sentry, Crashlytics, Datadog, or similar). 
• Exposure to native debugging (Java/Kotlin/Swift/Obj-C) in a React Native context. 
• Strong spoken & written English for international collaboration. 
• Proactive and solution oriented. 
• Ownership of features from design through release and monitoring. 
• Open to feedback, collaborative, and a team player. 
• Growth-oriented — eager to learn new tools, share knowledge, and mentor others. 
• Focused on delivering value, not just completing tasks. 

 Growth Areas (We don’t expect you to have all of these on day one — we’ll support you to grow into them.) 

• Monorepo management (Nx). 
• Cloud & CI/CD (AWS, Firebase, pipelines). 
• Authentication & security (OAuth, JWT, Cognito, Firebase Auth). 
• Advanced design systems (Material-UI or similar). 
• Leading initiatives or Agile squads. 
• E2E testing (Detox, Cypress).
