Job description

  • Leadership & Management:
    _ Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    _ Implement leadership styles that promote engagement and productivity.
     
  • Project Management:
    _ Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, quality standards, and business objectives.
    _ Utilize project management tools and methodologies to streamline processes.
     
  • Technical Oversight:
    _ Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, ensuring the adoption of best practices in software development and architecture.
    _ Lead the team in solving complex technical challenges related to high-traffic e-commerce platforms.
    _ Drive the implementation and maintenance of Continuous Delivery practices to ensure reliable and frequent releases.
     
  • Collaboration:
    _ Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals and customer needs.
    _ Facilitate clear communication and efficient workflow between teams.
     
  • Performance Monitoring:
    _ Establish and track key performance metrics for the engineering team.
    _ Conduct regular reviews and provide feedback to drive performance improvements.
    _ Implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
     
  • Recruitment & Development:
    _ Participate in the recruitment process, onboarding, and professional development of new team members, ensuring the team’s growth and success.
    _ Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills

Your skills and experience

  • Education:
    _ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
     
  • Experience:
    _ Proven experience (10+ years) in a software engineering role, preferably in high-traffic, scalable systems.
    _ At least 5+ years in a leadership or managerial position with a successful team leadership track record.
     
  • Technical Skills:
    _ Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
    _ Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Golang, Java, etc.) with a strong preference for Golang.
    _ Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Kubernetes).
     
  • Leadership Skills:
    _ Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a high-performing engineering team, including performance management and career development.
    _ Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and make data-driven decisions.
    _ Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
     
  • Other:
    _ Experience in the e-commerce or SaaS industry is a plus.
    _ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience implementing these frameworks
