Role Summary

Itviec’s client is seeking an experienced and highly strategic technology leader to serve as Chief Technology Officer for one of our most critical client programs. The Chief Technology Officer will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, efficient, innovative architectures that deliver a seamless user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in backend engineering and enterprise systems, coupled with the ability to create and execute a vision for technical delivery governance, engineering leadership, and executive-level stakeholder management. This role demands deep architectural credibility combined with real hands-on engineering prestige to ensure complex technology ecosystems, distributed development squads, and client objectives are successfully unified into a coherent, high-performing delivery stream. You will operate as the primary technical advisor to client senior executives, steering key technical choices regarding integration strategy, cloud adoption, security, performance, and regulatory compliance

Key Responsibilities 

• Technology Strategy & Architecture Ownership: Define, own, and execute the end-to-end technology strategy and solution architecture for the entire program. Successfully map business capabilities into highly scalable, modern technical frameworks spanning applications, data pipelines, integrations, and public infrastructure. Enforce comprehensive architectural consistency across multiple domains, engineering squads, and development streams. Critically evaluate and validate technical trade-offs, critical decisions, and implementation strategies to ensure long-term system sustainability while ensuring absolute alignment with enterprise standards, regulatory boundaries, and client product roadmaps.
• Engineering Leadership & Delivery Governance: Provide high-level directional leadership to architecture, engineering, and product delivery teams throughout the full software development lifecycle. Serve as the ultimate technical escalation point for crucial delivery blockages, scope changes, risks, and multi-team dependencies. Formulate robust engineering benchmarks, quality gates, and code governance guidelines. Spearhead exhaustive technical feasibility studies, system performance tuning, and resilience planning across massive, complex systems.
• Client & Executive Stakeholder Management: Function as the primary technical point-of-contact for client senior stakeholders, including enterprise architects and corporate technology leadership. Facilitate and lead complex technical workshops, deep architecture reviews, core design sessions, and senior executive alignment discussions. Articulate highly complex technical principles clearly to both internal development teams and senior non-technical executives, building deep trust and credibility across all operational tiers.
• Solution Consulting & Requirement Translation: Critically validate and translate incoming business requirements into definitive, transparent technical solution concepts and blueprints. Deliver expert consultative advice on technology stacks, software patterns, and implementation blueprints. Systematically analyze operational business processes and align them with technical designs to guarantee complete end-to-end technical feasibility.
• Program-Level Coordination & Cross-Team Alignment: Act as an essential operational bridge linking product owners, engineering managers, solution architects, infrastructure teams, corporate security divisions, and external vendors. Guarantee perfect cross-team alignment between parallel delivery pipelines, such as core banking modernization, cards, payment gateways, digital customer channels, system integration layers, and data lakes. Seamlessly govern architectural dependencies and alignments across synchronous parallel release trains.
• Modern Engineering & Innovation Leadership: Champion advanced modern engineering frameworks including microservices, distributed architectures, event-driven streaming (Kafka), cloud-native environments, automated CI/CD, DevOps pipelines, and automation-first engineering systems. Firmly instill security-by-design and compliance-by-design strategies throughout the entire delivery pipeline. Mentor, cultivate, and elevate native technical talent, steering the internal engineering culture towards continuous innovation and top-tier performance benchmarks

Your skills and experience

Leadership & Consulting Expertise:

• 10+ years of proven professional experience in senior technical leadership positions (e.g., Chief Technology Officer, Technical Director, Principal Architect, Solution Architect, or Senior Technical Consultant).
• Strong experience leading and governing large-scale enterprise delivery programs involving multiple parallel engineering squads and multi-layered stakeholder networks.
• Demonstrated track record operating in a high-level consultative, client-facing setting, with verified success advising senior executives, client leaders, and steering committees.

Technical Engineering Capabilities:

• Deep, hands-on engineering background utilizing Java, Spring Boot frameworks, and sophisticated API-driven backend architectures.
• Extensive practical experience building, deploying, and optimizing microservices and complex distributed software systems.
• Strong practical familiarity with event-driven architecture models, specifically leveraging Apache Kafka.
• Advanced mastery of enterprise integration patterns and data orchestration.
• Solid experience working with mainstream cloud platforms, containerization layers (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern automated CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Comprehensive conceptual and practical grasp of architecture governance, high-scalability design, performance engineering, and system resilience frameworks.

Domain Knowledge & Industry Insights:

• Strong professional exposure to banking systems or Financial Technology (FinTech) landscapes, covering core banking modernization, global payment systems, card infrastructure, risk management, compliance monitoring, and modern digital banking channels.
• Thorough familiarity with strict regulatory, data security, and financial industry compliance frameworks.

Communication & Stakeholder Influence:

• Superior written and verbal communication skills in business-level English, with an exceptional ability to unpack and articulate abstract technical concepts to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
• Elite facilitation, mediation, and negotiation skills, capable of driving consensus across competing technical roadmaps and conflicting project priorities.
