Job description
We are looking for a Unity developer who can turn casual/hypercasual game ideas into playable 3D prototypes quickly, taking a concept to a testable build in days, not months. You'll work on fast iteration loops to validate the "fun factor" of mechanics similar to puzzle, sorting, merge, and arcade-style mobile games.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Rapidly build playable 3D game prototypes on Unity from concepts, references, or design briefs.
- Reproduce and adapt core gameplay mechanics from reference games to test new variations.
- Implement core loops, level systems, and basic UI fast, prioritizing playability over polish.
- Iterate quickly on mechanics, difficulty, and feel based on playtest feedback and metrics.
- Meet with the design team to scope ideas, clarify specifications, and propose technical approaches.
- Collaborate closely with Game Artists to integrate 3D assets, animations, and effects.
- Set up lightweight, reusable prototype templates and a development pipeline to speed up future projects.
- Write clean, efficient, and modular code that can be extended if a prototype gets greenlit.
- Ensure prototypes run smoothly on target mobile devices (stable framerate, reasonable load times).
- Identify and resolve gameplay bugs and performance bottlenecks quickly.
- Propose and implement technical solutions in a timely manner.
- Conduct white-box testing on prototype builds before handoff.
Your skills and experience
REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2–4 years of experience as a Unity Developer, ideally including mobile game development.
- Hands-on experience building casual/hypercasual or puzzle-style games (a portfolio of prototypes or shipped titles is strongly preferred).
- Comfortable working in fast iteration cycles and an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding.
SKILLS
- Proficiency in C# and the Unity engine.
- Solid grasp of 3D fundamentals: scripting, physics, animation, materials/textures, GUI styles, and scene management.
- Ability to quickly reverse-engineer and reimplement gameplay mechanics from reference games.
- Skill in optimizing memory and performance for mobile devices.
- Ability to use AI tools effectively to improve productivity and development workflow.
- Good English reading and writing skills for collaboration in an international environment.
ABILITIES
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to critically evaluate and adapt AI-generated solutions.
- A bias toward speed and experimentation, shipping a rough playable beats a perfect plan.
- Open-mindedness and willingness to learn and explore new technologies.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and trustworthiness.
Why you'll love working here
- Professional, creative working environment and talented teams; equal-opportunity & agile culture.
- Fully remote team, no traffic jam, no rigid office hours.
- Regular discussions and a chance to learn directly from experts in their fields.
- International exposure and real opportunity to grow.
