The Opportunity

As our business continues to grow, ANDPAD Vietnam is looking for Java Engineers who are willing to technically switch from Java to Ruby/Golang to join our team and develop the application in cooperation with the Product Manager. Working as a squad allows a small team to move quickly and consistently from design through development, testing and operations.

There are also plenty of opportunities to work with new languages and FWs other than the main language in an international environment.

Job Scope

• Design and implement the functions of the responsible product using Ruby or Golang
• Refactoring of existing products for microservices
• Define requirements and specifications in collaboration with product managers and designers
• Architecture design based on requirements, middleware selection
• Measuring impact for quality improvement and implementation of service improvement measures

Development environment

• Infrastructure: AWS, GCP
• CI/CD：Circle CI / Codebuild
• DB: Amazon Aurora (MySQL compatible edition), Elasticsearch, DynamoDB
• Configuration management: Ansible
• Deploy / Build: CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CircleCI, GitHub Actions
• IaC: Packer, Terraform
• Monitoring: Datadog, bugsnag
• Others: swagger, Docker, ZenHub, Figma, Slack/Jira

Yêu cầu công việc

Must-have:

• Backend service experience in multiple, managed languages such as Java, Scala, Go, C#, or similar. 
• Empathy with Andpad's mission and values.
• Willingness to learn our tech stack and collaborate with our team is essential
• 5+ years of experience in web services development and operation 
• Experience as a technical lead throughout the project development lifecycle
• Experience of developing and operating web applications using frameworks
• Experience in schema design such as RDBMS and optimal query design
• Knowledge of web application security
• Experience in implementing test code (unit test)
• Good English communication skills

Nice to have:

• Java, Golang or RoR programming experience
• Experience of discovering and resolving problems from logs
• Experience of developing systems using container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in designing architecture based on application requirements and selecting middleware
• Experience in publishing and contributing to OSS
• Experience of external technical output (writing, technical blog, stage, etc.)
