About Flexspace AI

  • Flexspace AI is the e-commerce + AI revenue platform for coworking — / Shopify / Airbnb for flexible workspace. Seed-funded. We turn operators' websites into high-converting storefronts and run AI agents that price and market their inventory in real time.
  • What we ship: mobile-first booking engine that embeds in any operator's site; SmartPricing Agent for dynamic pricing on meeting rooms, day passes, offices; SmartMarketing Agent for promo campaigns; operator dashboard for revenue/bookings/attribution; member portal for end customers; two-way integrations with prominent property management systems.
  • Who buys it: coworking operators from single-location indies to multi-country brands. Their revenue is the conversion rate of the screens you'll design — CTAs, catalog, transitions, and checkout aren't decoration here; they're the product.
  • How we work: small, agile, AI-heavy. On track to profitability this year. Headcount is deliberately small so each person owns real surface area — tight feedback loops, no bureaucracy, no committees. We measure shipped work — funnel lifts, partner themes shipped, UX issues triaged — not hours. No face-time theater.
  • Co-located hybrid out of Workflow Thao Dien in HCMC for in-person speed. Wider team is async-first, written-first across US, Israel, Turkey, Philippines, and Vietnam. Weekly product/design sync with the CTO/cofounder — no layers between you and the people deciding what to build.

Role Overview

Product Engineer building the e-commerce platform behind the next generation of coworking spaces—SmartPricing, SmartMarketing, the booking engine operators embed on their sites, and the integrations that tie it all together. You work directly with the founders, with no layers between you and the people setting the roadmap. We also welcome final-year students looking for an internship.

  • What engineering means here. The hard problem isn't writing code—AI writes plenty of it now. It's deciding what's worth building. Operators juggle hundreds of spaces, prices, members, bookings, and integrations across locations and time zones; customers comparing meeting rooms decide in seconds. Your job is to understand these humans—in the data—then ship software that moves their revenue. Empathy and data are the input; working product is the output. Polish comes last.
  • On prioritization. Not all code has the same payoff. You'll look at a problem from several angles—funnel data, operator feedback, revenue, churn signals—and pick the work where your hours move the business most. A feature nobody uses is wasted hours; a 2% lift on the booking funnel is the company's quarter. Judgment over completeness.
  • On decisions. Bigger calls go to the team before you build. Smaller calls—ship, watch the data, iterate. We're data-driven, not opinion-driven, and seniority doesn't win arguments—evidence does. You'll own the surfaces you touch, with support, and you expose your reasoning so we can calibrate together.
  • On growth. You're early-career, and we hire for that on purpose. Expect code review, pairing, and direct coaching from founders and senior engineers. We can teach the stack, the patterns, and the product thinking. The one thing we can't give you is drive—that comes from you.

What You'll Do

  • Ship features end-to-end. Work with founders and operators to understand a need, then spec, build, and release it—with support along the way.
  • Build and evolve our SmartPricing & SmartMarketing agents. Pricing rules, targeting logic, and performance monitoring.
  • Make booking effortless. Seamless booking experiences with instant payment, embedded right in operators' websites.
  • Wire up integrations. Sync data with coworking CRMs, inventory systems, and analytics tools—and prevent double bookings.
  • Pull data, form an opinion, decide. Revenue, Mixpanel, GA4 / GTM funnel data, and operator feedback.
  • Write so the team stays in sync. Clear specs and pull-request descriptions that keep an async, distributed team aligned across time zones.

How You'll Work With AI

Claude as peers, not novelties. You'll write and refine structured prompts, build new ones, and ship real changes through AI tools. Senior engineers coach you and set guardrails so you can move fast without first becoming a framework expert. Judgment, taste, and clear thinking are the bottleneck now—not syntax. We give you a budget for the best AI tools because we expect you to use them as leverage, not as a crutch.

What Success Looks Like In Your First 6 Months

  • You've shipped real features to production that operators and members actually use.
  • You can navigate the codebase and pick up unfamiliar areas without much hand-holding.
  • You ship changes through Claude with sound judgment about what to accept and what to rework.
  • You back your decisions and pushback with data—and your written updates keep the async team moving without meetings.
  • You're catching product, UX, and trade-off issues early, not just implementing tickets.

What Makes You a Great Fit

We prioritize these qualities top-down—technical skills can be learned quickly by sharp, curious people with low ego and a strong work ethic. Above all, here's what we look for:

  • Drive and motivation. We can give you the tools, the environment, and hands-on coaching—but we can't give you the drive to succeed as a product engineer in the modern AI era. That has to come from you.
  • Attention to detail and high standards. You're obsessed with quality—it's not about just getting the job done, it's about delivering the best work you can and raising the team's bar. You sweat the small things—edge cases, copy, data correctness—because details separate a working product from a trusted one.
  • Clear written English. You read and write clear English (with the help with AI tools); in an async, globally distributed team, your writing is how you think, collaborate, and lead.
  • High agency. You take initiative—ask questions when something's unclear, chase down answers, and push your work forward instead of waiting to be told the next step.
  • You question everything. Everyone has a voice and is expected to push the envelope. There's no "the senior person knows better"—answers and pushback alike are grounded in data and critical thinking, regardless of title or age.
  • Curiosity and fast learning. You pick up new domains, tools, and concepts quickly, especially around AI, pricing, and B2B SaaS.
  • Product sense. You care about customers and business context, not just the tech stack, and you treat engineering as a way to drive revenue, bookings, and occupancy. You grasp basic microeconomics—incentives, opportunity cost, supply and demand—as a toolkit for trade-offs: simpler designs that still maximize value, arguments made in terms of impact rather than opinion, and an understanding of why the business prioritizes what it does. Don't have this thinking framework yet? If you bring the motivation, we'll coach you on it.

Must-have

  • Vietnamese, based in Ho Chi Minh City. Hired on a Vietnamese employment contract. No visa sponsorship or relocation funding.
  • Solid CS fundamentals. You understand how data is structured, how APIs work, and how to troubleshoot methodically—and you can name what you're doing and why.
  • Comfortable with the basics that make a good teammate. Git, reading existing code, writing tests, and jumping into unfamiliar parts of a codebase.
  • Some Ruby, TypeScript, or Python. You'll spend most of your time in Ruby and TypeScript. We don't expect all three—we expect you to learn fast.
  • A project we can look at. At least one thing you built that works—side project, open source, internship, hackathon, or coursework—with a link and a clear story of how and why you built it.
  • AI-native. You use Claude and Cursor daily and know where they shine and where they break down.
  • Writing and reading English for async work. Speaking can be conversational—we coach.
  • Agency. You spot things, fix things, ship things—you don't wait to be told.

Self-taught software engineers are welcome. You don't have to study IT or computer majors to become a good software product builders. What matters is the drive, agency, attention to detail, willingness to ship, and how fast you learn. If you read this and thought "I could do that with some support," don't self-select out—apply.
