Job description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the activities of design, validation and testing, being responsible for ensuring a detailed understanding of these needs and the submission of proper documentation;
- Direct work assignments, scheduling, and reviews of work in progress. Handles personnel actions including performance reviews, salary recommendations, and coordination of training and development;
- Provide the technical governance of the team and ensures its efficiency and the good communication with the other teams, external and internal
- Promote the continuous improvement process within the product’s life cycle;
- Participate in department budgeting activities as required
JOB DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS
- Supervise and lead a team of Software Test Engineers in planning, executing, and managing comprehensive testing strategies for software products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements, test cases, and testing timelines.
- Provide technical guidance and support to ensure the test team delivers high-quality and defect-free software.
- Coordinate with development teams to understand project requirements and resolve testing-related issues.
- Conduct and oversee various types of testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Implement and maintain test automation following best practice and recommended frameworks from the global testing team to enhance testing efficiency and reuse.
- Analyze test results and work towards continuous improvement of testing processes.
- Stay informed about industry trends, testing tools, and best practices, encourage the team to be innovative and to foster new patent proposal.
- Participate to the regular CMB meeting for reporting the evolution of the development and bug-fixing.
- Help the director to define the budget and resources plan including selection of SW and HW tools needed for the work.
- Prepare weekly reports for the direct director highlighting the major achievements, issues and risks related to the development.
- Provide training for new resources added to the team and planning and monitoring activities to improve the team know-how.
- Manage internal conflict and found appropriate solution.
Your skills and experience
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Proven experience in software testing, with a focus on automatic identification products.
- Proven Experience on testing Android products such as Smartphone, Tablets, POS, and Mobile products in general.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools such as Jazz, Robot Framework, Test Complete, and best practices.
- Experience in test automation and scripting languages.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and continuous integration practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in managing complex projects from conception to delivery
SOFT SKILLS:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a technical team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- Eager of new technologies and innovation
- Planning and time management
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Telecommunication Engineering, Computers Science and Electronic, or related major
- Language: English (good command in both speaking, writing, reading, listening)
- YoE: 8+ years of experience in Testing SW
- Nice to have: ISTQB Foundation certificates, Agile Foundation certificates, API Testing specialist certificates
