Job description

The Senior Web Developer will be responsible for the following:

• Design, develop, optimize and maintain websites using WordPress
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in PHP for backend and WordPress customizations.
• Customize themes and functionalities based on project requirements
• Build front-end features using ReactJS, HTML4/5, CSS, and JavaScript
• Perform regular testing, maintenance, and updates
• Contribute creative ideas to improve UI/UX and website performance
• Architect and deploy solutions on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Lead technical discussions, code reviews
• Collaborate closely product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure performance optimization, security, and best practices across applications.
• Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and propose effective solutions.

Your skills and experience

The Senior Web Developer will report directly to the Line Manager and will possess the following attributes:

• 4+ years of professional development experience in modern web technologies.
• Hands-on experience with WordPress, including theme design, plugin usage, and custom functionality development
• Proficiency in ReactJS, HTML4/5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP
• Strong UI/UX design skills with a good sense of aesthetics and user experience
• Friendly, collaborative, creative, and able to manage tasks effectively under pressure
• Good experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and the LMS Plugin
• Solid knowledge of PHP and WordPress customization.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and DevOps practices.
• Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and guiding teams.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of projects.
