Job description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Android to help shape the next generation of Timo’s mobile banking experience.

You will build reliable, secure, and high-performing Android applications that power critical financial experiences for our customers. Working closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and Security, you will contribute to our mobile architecture, engineering standards, and release reliability, while helping evolve our long-term mobile direction alongside Kredivo Group’s regional teams.

You will report to our Lead Android Engineer.

What You Will Do

• Build and evolve the Android app powering Timo’s digital banking experience
• Design and deliver reliable, secure mobile features across payments, onboarding, transfers, and savings
• Drive engineering quality through clean architecture, testing, and operational excellence
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and Security to ship customer-centric solutions
• Mentor mid and junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing
• Contribute to technical direction, architectural decisions, engineering standards, and modern Android practices at Timo

Your skills and experience

What We Are Looking For

Experience

• 5+ years of Android application development
• Proven experience building and operating production-grade mobile apps
• Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional product teams

Skills & Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development
• Solid understanding of Android architecture patterns (MVVM / MVI, Clean Architecture)
• Experience with Coroutines, Flow, and asynchronous programming
• Experience with Jetpack Compose
• Familiarity with dependency injection and modular codebases
• Experience with testing, debugging, and performance optimization
• Working knowledge of CI/CD, release processes, and mobile security best practices
• Professional working English for daily collaboration with our Lead Android Engineer and regional Kredivo teams
