Position Overview

Join our dynamic and innovative team as a Senior Robotics Mechatronics Engineer to lead the design and development of cutting-edge AI-powered robotic collectible figures. You'll play a pivotal role in bringing our unique vision to life, integrating high-quality design aesthetics with precise mechanical movement and expressive AI-driven interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and prototyping of intricate mechanical systems for robotic collectible figures, transforming creative visions into robust, manufacturable solutions.
• Design, develop, and rigorously test advanced actuation systems, including custom servo motors, precise gearboxes, and sophisticated control mechanisms.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Electrical, Software, and AI Engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with embedded electronics and intelligent control algorithms.
• Drive design optimization for mass production, focusing on manufacturability (DFM), cost-efficiency, and scalability while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Conduct thorough mechanical analysis (e.g., stress, tolerance, fatigue) and validation testing to ensure product reliability and durability.
• Research and evaluate new materials, manufacturing processes, and technologies to continuously innovate product capabilities.

Your skills and experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 3+ years of demonstrable experience in designing and developing complex mechanical systems for consumer robotics, animatronics, interactive toys, or high-precision electromechanical products.
• Expert proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion 360, PTC Creo); ability to create detailed assembly drawings and BOMs.
• Extensive hands-on experience with rapid prototyping methodologies (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining), precision assembly, and DFM (Design for Manufacturability).
• Deep understanding and practical experience with small-scale servo motors, stepper motors, linear actuators, a wide range of sensors, miniature gearboxes, and closed-loop control systems.
• Robust knowledge of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, die casting, sheet metal fabrication) and advanced materials selection for consumer products.

Preferred Skills

• Proven track record in developing and launching interactive consumer products, animatronics, or advanced robotic systems from concept to production.
• Specialized expertise in designing and optimizing miniature mechanical systems and micro-actuators for compact, high-performance applications.
• Experience with simulation tools (e.g., FEA, Kinematics analysis) for mechanical design validation.
• Understanding of basic control theory and embedded programming (e.g., C++, Python) for robotics applications.
• Portfolio showcasing previous mechanical design projects.
