Job description
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Game Economy Designer to own the mathematical backbone of our chance-based digital game titles — from payout-rate and volatility tuning to prize-tier mechanics and compliance-ready math models. You'll work closely with gameplay designers, engineers, and QA to ship games that are both commercially strong and fully compliant with relevant regulations.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and fine-tune game economies: payout rate, volatility, hit frequency, and payout curve structures.
- Build and calibrate prize-tier and bonus/progressive reward systems in partnership with gameplay designers.
- Define core-loop and reward-structure math alongside the design team.
- Design, build, and run large-scale simulations (Python-based Monte Carlo simulators) to validate math models and analyze player behavior for optimization opportunities.
- Prepare and support third-party compliance/certification testing with audit-ready math documentation and compliant settings.
- Monitor live game performance post-launch and recommend balancing adjustments based on real player data.
Your skills and experience
What We're Looking For
Language: English (working proficiency required)
- 3+ years of hands-on numeric/economy design experience on chance-based digital game titles (e.g., reward-reveal, card-matching, or rapid-round formats).
- Proficient in Python — able to independently design and write simulation tools for payout-rate, volatility, and reward-curve validation, not just run existing scripts.
- Strong Excel skills — macros, probability modeling, payout table construction.
- SQL for querying live game/player data (a plus).
- Solid understanding of player segmentation, risk control, and engagement/session pacing.
- Sharp logical reasoning and comfort interpreting large simulation/analytics datasets.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience taking a title through third-party regulatory/compliance certification.
- Familiarity with SEA and/or LatAm market player behavior and volatility preferences.
- Experience building reusable simulation frameworks (batch/parallelized runs, config-driven parameter sweeps).
Why you'll love working here
- Allowance: 80k/day
- Team building
- Performance bonus
- Holiday and Tet gifts
- Working time: 9AM - 6.00PM with 1 flexible hour, 60-minute break between sessions, Monday to Friday
- 14 months’ salary means a bonus for half a year’s work equivalent to one month’s salary, and it is also granted based on performance evaluation results.
