About Us

SkyDeck AI has headquarters in San Jose, California (Silicon Valley) with a software development team in Vietnam. Our focus is on building an AI platform that allows businesses to deploy an AI workspace throughout their workforce. This involves a chat workspace (skydeck.ai) that supports many LLM models and a pathway to agents as well as a knowledge system that brings business knowledge into the context of AI interactions (rememberizer.ai). 

The Opportunity

As our Senior Full-stack Web Developer, you will build enterprise grade software deployed on custom hardware hosted in California. You will work on advanced generative AI features including chat, function calling, tools, agents, and agentic RAG. You will also be expected to collaborate constantly with AI models to supercharge the breadth, depth and speed of your software development. All of this will be layered on top of an Extreme Programming Agile Development practice that involves pair programming with AI mostly, but also human colleagues, test driven development, and iterative development of a rapidly evolving product. While you may use them you will not be training LLM models or developing your own neural networks or other similar systems.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate & Innovate: Work daily in English with founders and a dynamic team to deliver AI-enhanced web applications that bring innovative ideas to life.
• Full-Stack Development: Build and maintain both front-end and back-end systems that seamlessly integrate to create a superior user experience.
• Scalable Systems: Develop, deploy, and maintain applications on linux based servers with Kubernetes. Some limited use of cloud based systems on AWS.
• AI Utilization: Leverage advanced AI tools and methodologies, such as generative AI frameworks, vector/graph databases, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and large language models (LLMs), to boost development efficiency and code quality.
• Mentorship & Growth: Contribute to a collaborative environment, sharing knowledge and fostering continuous learning among team members.

Your skills and experience

What We’re Looking For

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in full-stack web development, with a proven track record of building scalable and resilient web applications.
• Technical Skills:
  • Experience integrating LLMs into applications via API calls is essential.
  • Experience with AI-driven development, including advanced prompt engineering, generative AI, and the ability to leverage AI tools for software development.
  • Understanding of vector and graph databases, RAG is a plus.
  • Proficient in Python, with experience in frameworks such as Flask or Django.
  • Good understanding of modern programming languages like Go, Rust or Move.
  • Familiarity with enterprise production deployment on remote systems, such as cloud based systems or unix (Linux) based servers.
• Methodologies & Mindset:
  • Enthusiasm for using AI tools and agents constantly to help you with your work.
  • Strong foundation in modern software design principles and test-driven development.
  • Proven ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and methodologies in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment using methodologies like SCRUM and Extreme Programming is preferred.
• Communication:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to break down complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.
  • The ability to use AI to communicate flawlessly with exceptional depth and professionalism.
• Education:
  • A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field from a recognized institution is preferred. Practical experience and a strong portfolio of work are highly valued.
