Senior Data Scientist (ML/AI, MLOps, Python, PyTorch)

About This Role

We're looking for a Senior Data Scientist specializing in AI and Computer Vision to join Tekai's growing team of specialists. You'll work end-to-end on real-world AI projects — from translating business problems into solution architectures, to building and deploying state-of-the-art computer vision models in production. This role is for someone with deep ML foundations, hands-on CV experience, and the mindset to take ownership of complex technical challenges in close collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, customers, and partners across the full lifecycle of AI projects.
• Translate business and operational needs into AI solution architectures and production-ready ML systems.
• Design, build, and deploy modern computer vision models using deep learning, foundation models, transfer learning, and self-/weakly-supervised approaches.
• Build and manage scalable data pipelines, annotation workflows, and dataset lifecycle processes.
• Validate and test models for robustness and reliability in production environments.

Your skills and experience

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of experience building and deploying ML/AI solutions, with strong computer vision expertise (PyTorch, deep learning architectures, transfer learning).
• End-to-end CV system development: detection, segmentation, alignment, anomaly detection, and visual inspection.
• MLOps and ML engineering: experiment tracking, model versioning, reproducibility, and production deployment pipelines.
• Data and annotation management: pipeline design, quality control, dataset structuring, augmentation, and large-scale image handling.
• Strong Python and Linux-based development skills
• Git-based collaboration workflows.
• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Bonus: Experience with metric learning, similarity-based modeling, or industrial AI applications under real-world constraints.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills in English (preferred TOEIC 750+ or IELTS 6.5+)
• Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

LOCATION & WORKING HOURS

• Location: Dong Do Apartment Building, Nghia Do Street, Nghia Do Ward, Hanoi.
• Working days: 5 days per week, 7.5 working hours per day, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday (including a 1.5-hour lunch break). Days off: Saturdays, Sundays, and Vietnamese public holidays.
