Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our team as an offshore resource. The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of hands-on experience with Python and a strong background in Linux. The major platforms we use are Django, so experience in these platforms is recommended

Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain Python-based applications using and Django frameworks.
• Collaborate with the development team to design and implement robust software solutions.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, both written and verbally, ensuring clarity and understanding of project plans, progress, and challenges.

Your skills and experience

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Python Developer, with a focus on Django platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming language and associated frameworks.
• Expertise in Linux system administration and server setup.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work closely with stakeholders, understand their requirements, and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.
• Availability to work during New Zealand business hours (starting at 6 am local time).
• Ability to work from both Home & Provided office.
