Job Overview: We are seeking a visionary and technically accomplished AI Leader to define and execute NECVN’s AI strategy, ensure alignment with NEC HQ, and lead the development of innovative AI solutions that deliver measurable value to customers. This role combines strategic leadership with deep technical expertise in artificial intelligence.

• Develop and lead NECVN’s AI strategy in alignment with NEC HQ’s global technology roadmap.
• Act as a strategic and technical liaison between NECVN and NEC HQ, ensuring smooth collaboration and knowledge transfer.
• Lead the AI engineering team in researching, designing, and deploying advanced AI solutions
• Translate customer and business requirements into scalable AI architectures and solutions.
• Oversee the full AI lifecycle: from data acquisition and model development to deployment and monitoring.
• Ensure technical excellence, innovation, and compliance with global standards in all AI initiatives.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging AI technologies and methodologies to maintain NECVN’s competitive edge.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate AI into broader digital transformation efforts and enterprise solutions.

Your skills and experience

Education & Background:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in the technology industry, with at least 5-7 years of deep specialization in AI, including areas such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, and AI agents.
• At least 3-5 years in a Senior leadership role such as CTO, Head of AI, or equivalent, with proven experience in developing technology strategies, managing technical teams, and collaborating with international partners.

Technical Expertise:

• Strong proficiency in Python and AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face, etc.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and AI agents, including design, training, and deployment in production environments.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data engineering, data governance, and model lifecycle management.
• Experience with AI ethics, fairness, and responsible AI practices is a plus.

Leadership & Communication:

• Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, manage cross-functional projects, and drive innovation.
• Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with a business-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in English (required); Japanese language proficiency is a plus.
• Experience working in multinational environments or with Japanese partners is highly preferred.
