Job description
- Creating and developing automated testing frameworks, with Event-Driven Microservices Architecture: Set up, maintain, and perform them on multiple application platforms like mobile, desktop, and web to build acceptance tests and test scenarios. This involves writing code for Unit Test Coverage, or simulate user actions and interactions with the software, as well as verifying the results of those actions.
- Designing and implementing test cases: This is one of the core responsibilities of an SDET that involves creating a set of test scenarios and test cases used to verify that the software application (or other type of product) is properly functioning. This may concern multiple purposes, like creating test cases for new features, for regression or performance testing.
- Developing CI/CD pipelines: create execution pipelines and optimize testing strategies to provide good test coverage.
- Work with other engineers and customer-facing support teams to identify, log, root-cause, triage, prioritize, and drive resolution of defects.
- Investigate defect reports from production support and isolate their causes
- Create and maintain tools for generating test data.
- Report, track, and monitor all PAVE Products & Services.
- Leverage Generative AI in Software Testing: test definition, implementation, execution, maintenance and grouping, and bug handling.
- Integrating security in the QA Process: Provide security intelligence to both the developer and security teams to mitigate risks.
- Review requirement documents before development, and provide comments.
- Prepare test documentation and review with the development team.
- Collaborate with the development team to design testing strategies.
- Maintain and organize testing devices and equipment.
- Working with various types of data formats: JSON, XML, SQL, excel...
Your skills and experience
- Programming, Designing, Testing methodology, Knowledge about Automation, Agile + DevOps exposure, these are the skills companies look out for when they need to fill a SDET position. The details depend upon the type of tasks that need to be done.
- Experience or having knowledge with microservices testing.
- Having knowledge of writing Unit Test Coverage and proficiency in at least one of these popular programming languages: Javascript/Typescript, PHP, Golang, Python, Rust.
- Have a grasp or experience of working AGILE + DevOps process management methodology
- Must be accustomed to different test methods and tools like MS Unit, TestNG, Selenium WebDriver, NUnit, etc.
- Suggest / Make framework enhancements to accommodate the scripting needs
- Exposure to BDD – Behavior-Driven Development: In software engineering, behavior-driven development is an Agile software development process that encourages collaboration among developers, QA, and non-technical or business participants in a software project)
- Able to spot bottlenecks and thresholds and cleverly uses automation tools for appropriate solutions

Understanding of OOD – Object-Oriented Design
(OOD – Object-oriented design is the process of planning a system of interacting objects for the purpose of solving a software problem. It is one approach to software design) - Analytical skills – Analytically examine bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline application functions through automated testing processes
- Attention to detail – Being detail-oriented is required as you will test web and mobile applications to find ways to improve them and isolate problems
- Communication skills – Strong verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering team and create testing plans and written reports showing errors
- Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams in a remote work setting.
